I saw Alizee on the World Music Awards show a couple of months ago where they showed a clip of her singing "Moi... Lolita" and I immediately fell in love with the song. With her captivating sultry voice and bewitching brown eyes, this beautiful young French songstress cast a spell on me, capturing my attention performing this dance club-like song, that I had to have it and add this recording to my collection.
I searched every record store in my area, under the international recording listings, and could not find her. I stopped at nothing to find her. I finally had to order the "Gourmandises" CD in a record store and was elated when it arrived. As I am a huge fan of Latin Pop/Dance music, I am hoping that other international artist, who also produce such dance music, become more accessible to the United States buying public such as myself. I would like to hear more from Alizee, and may I suggest that her CD's become available to the US market. I rate this CD "two thumbs up" and absolutely award her five stars!

I was looking some music when I heard her song by mistake, and I just couldn't stop it. I was amazed. I played it again and again, only few songs I ever heard has the feeling, the rhythm, the voice, everything so perfect. It's not a dance song but it makes you dance, feel good. It is a MUST to listen at least once, it doesn't matter if you like any kind of music, such as rock or pop, or ska or funk, you'll like it. If you like french songs, you'll die for this song!

J'adore cette chanson! J'ai le trouvé avec l'assistance d'un ami. Il m'a fait voir la vidéo et après ça, j'ai voulu le trouver non. J'ai du le trouver! Je suis aux Etats-Unis alors c'était pas facile mais la chanson est vachement bonne! Si vous aimez la musique français, vous devez l'écouter.

Alizee is red hot ... and Moi Lolita is her best work by far ... i think this work will go down in history as one of the all time greatest clasics of our time.

Having just been in Europe recently (where we purchased this CD), this song is quite popular. Even though it is sung in French, it is a great song to to listen to.

The words are easy to find on the net and since it is my first year of learing french this is what I listen too. THE WORDS DON'T MAKE SENSE but the beat fits. The summary of the words is: There is a self-centered girl called Lolita who dreams about wolf eating her. She loved to be in the middle of things and loves when people say her name. She can not say toungue twisters and likes to giggle. She thinks she is a phenomenon. She knows what she wants. The chorus says: it is not her faultevery one talks about her and then she spells her name L-o-l-i-t-a. Is a fun song (I have the single adn the CD!!!)

What a great CD this is. Of course anyone who has seen Alizee would know that it is far less then half of her charms! Seriously, we have another of her CD's "Psychodelics" and prefer this one.

Alizee's Moi Lolita song is excellent and for me one of my all time favorites. This Cd has three versions of the tune, the longest one probably concocted for use in dicotetteque.
