One of my Black Moors had a wicked case of the Ick. It had white dots all around the edges of all fins and in some places the edge of the fin had began to split and die. It generally acted sluggish and you could tell it was unhappy.

Cons:
- The green food coloring type additive in the medicine will stain whatever it touches. It is my assumption coloring is added to the medicine so you can see how much you are putting in, but it is possible it is the natural color. Either way it stains your fingers, and certain things in the tank. My air hose leading to the air diffusers are what are the most obviously stained. But it is not severe, and nothing in the tank is so stained that I will even worry about taking it out. It also stained the silicone around the edges where the corners are sealed. If you have an expensive tank set up with high end ornaments, you might want to take to take the time to empty the tank or seperate the fish into a smaller container. The directions say to add this to a "bare tank", I did not take the time to empty the tank. The rocks and ornaments I have are fine afterward, just the above mentioned green tint in a few places.

- Don't let the dark green coloring deter you from adding the proper amount of medicine to the tank. As you start dropping it in, it appears quite menacing, to the point that you are afraid it will harm your fish. BUT, it wasn't until I got past that fear and dropped 40 drops in a 40 gallon tank that my fish began to show signs of getting better.

Pros:

- The effects were fast. Within hours of adding it I noticed the larger white bumps emmitting air bubbles. I could actually see the parasite being killed, and air emmitting from multiple spots on the fish's infection.

Waaaay overpriced here!!!!!!! This is an ick medication, like many other ick medications it is a combination of formaldehyde and malachite green. Since the company that makes this, Aquarium Products, is no longer around, no more of this product will be made. But $29.99 is a crazy price for a 3/4oz bottle. I just bought 12 bottles of this in the clearance aisle at Wal Mart for $1/bottle. Save your money and get a different brand, they all do the same thing. Rid Ich+ by Kordon works great too for ick and includes an anti fungal medication in the same bottle.

I ordered this to have on hand just in case my tank has ich and a good thing I did! I got some fish from a new fish store and they ended up bringing a serious case of ich into my tank. I used this Ich cure and raised the temperature a few degrees (80-82F). The ich cured up in about a week or so. 2 fish did die but it was because of the ich, not because of this medicine. My plants seems to droop a bit when I used the ich cure but bounced back after I stopped using it.

Overall a great product and something that will be very useful to keep on hand.

My betta (Splash) is feeling and looking so much better. Quick-Cure worked quickly to cure his severe case of "Popeye". His eye appears to have returned to it's normal size. Thank you!

To all my aquarium enthusiast and salt water owners. I can successfully confirm the cure of saltwater ick on several occassions with this treatment. follow the instructions and be patient. Always separate the sick fish and treat it aside if possible. If you treat your tank you will see it in the skimmer.
Don't use with shrimps and craps. It does take sometime to make sure it does not combine. I recommend treating new fishes in quarantine tank with this at lower doses.
Cured ick on my freshwater as well when I had an outbreak. Dont stress your fish out too much by changing all water at once. My best success store is treating this tiny hippo-tang when it was barely 1" - when i wasn't patient the disease kep coming back and I would have to catch and treat again in a separate tank. After I made sure i kept the fish in the quarantine tank with this stuff for the full amount of time...[google it because I cant remember - incubation period!] and now he is still alive and kicking.

I had a very sick Blood Parrot fish who was off his food and listless. I tried a few general treatments which had no effect, then one morning he erupted with ick all over his body. Yikes! I resigned myself to losing the the fish and ordered this QuICK Cure.

Two days later and the other two fish were showing first symptoms and the QuICK Cure had arrived, I treated for three days as per the instructions and within 24 hours the first effected fish was looking better than he had done for weeks. After 3 days I did a partial water change and then gave another two days of the medicine. Result, all fish cured, happy, and hungry.

I strongly suggest that you keep some of this in your aquarium emergency supplies.
