5.0 out of 5 stars Smart Solution for Your Icing Needs, June 15, 2010

This review is from: Moji Knee - The Smart Icing Alternative (Misc.)
I purchased this product on the recommendation of my doctor for icing my knee after running. I actually used it the first time after I fell hard on my left knee. I credit my fast recovery due to this product. It fit the knee perfectly even when it was swelled up twice the size and hit two of the RICE protocols: icing and compression. I loved the fact that I didn't get the freeze associated with ice but still received the benefits of the cold. It's great because you don't have to take time out of your schedule to ice down your knee. Put it on and just continue with whatever you were doing for the 20 minutes. It's extremely comfortable. When you're done, throw the whole thing back in the freezer in the special case it comes in and your ready to go the next time. Was it expensive? Yes. Worth every penny? Without a doubt!

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly well-designed for knee icing; wish it came XXL, June 22, 2010

I have an arthritic knee that benefits from regular icing; I read about this product in a magazine, and am so glad I bought it. You get a soft wrap with velcro fasteners, and an insert that you freeze. The design is incredibly well thought out: Moji provides a durable plastic envelope to hold the insert in the freezer (prevents it from getting dirty, etc.), and that envelope is printed with good instructions on using the wrap, including useful pictures. The wrap itself has a little outline printed on the inside, showing where to attach the frozen insert; once you start to put the wrap on your knee, the outside of the wrap has colored areas that help you position it correctly.

I ordered the XL, because I am a large person, and it is a little small for me. The straps that go below my knee fit fine, but the straps that go above my knee are too tight. I wish it came in an XXL.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moji Knee, March 3, 2011

I have had this for a few months; bought a second one after I checked out the first. Although expensive, this works as advertised, the main advantage being the mobility after wearing; it's a clever little thing. It also appears to have excellent build quality in general, although the stiching on one of the velcro appliques did come loose in a corner in the first month.

As for the idea of icing the knee after exercise , it seems to help (mitigating knee soreness) at least in my case. I am in early sixties and occassional jogger/biker.

5.0 out of 5 stars Now this is a knee cold wrap, November 11, 2011

I have beat the hell out of my knees for 18 years of ice hockey goal tending, and plan to continue to do so. With that said, I have tried many different solutions for icing my knees post game play, none of which hold a flame to this bad boy.

Let's put it this way... if using a 9 month old frozen stake from your uncles basement freezer is a 1 on a 1-10 scale, than using a bag of peas from your gynecologist's office freezer is about a 4. using some sort of compress and a gel ice pack would be about a 7. This thing on the other hand is off the scale... 10+

You know what you cannot do with just about every single other knee icing application? Answer: you cannot to Jack... the moment you stand up it slides down, if you take two steps it is around your ankle and then you kick it across the room and into your sleeping dog, which of course ruptures his spleen and now you spend the rest of your day with the vet.
This knee icing solution is the answer to mobility, comfort, and hell, it even looks nice.

The key to the mobility is the ice gel pack. It is a bunch of individual gel pockets pieced together on a flexible soft neoprene sheet. The spaces in between the pockets allow for flexibility and movement, and it also holds the gel in place, instead of just one big container where gravity decides where the majority of the gel ends up.

The straps you run around the back of your leg are super comfortable, and secure... they really hold that sucker in place.

I would imagine that if God were real, and he needed to ice his knees, this would have to be what he would use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best icing product I've used thus far!, October 25, 2011

I purchased the Moji Knee based on reviews from friends on Facebook. I was a little apprehensive b/c it's expensive (compared to products I've tried in the past), but I've found the Moji Knee to be a cleverly designed icing unit that actually works! The cold plus compression makes a tremendous difference and I like that I can still move around while wearing it. I also found the product true to size. Bottom line: if you need to ice your knee(s), this product is well worth the investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars So glad I bought my Moji Knee!, December 29, 2011
This review is from: Moji Knee - The Smart Icing Alternative (Misc.)
I ordered the Moji Knee Wrap for myself several months ago. I run daily and have suffered knee aches and pains of various degrees over the past few years. My left knee is usually the one to ache (I had my ACL reconstructed years ago). I found that icing my knee helped A LOT! The only problem was, I rarely DID it. It was too inconvenient, and I only did it when I was suffering the most extreme pain.

I saw the Moji product at a Health and Fitness Expo in Seattle last June. I didn't buy it then, because I felt I couldn't afford it. I kept thinking about it though, and about how much I needed it. I bought and returned a $30 product with straps that was heavy, ill-fitting, and uncomfortable. Finally I decided that my well-being was worth the price of the product and placed my order.

I absolutely love my Moji Knee! When I first received it, I iced my knee three times a day, my knee quickly became much better. I use it twice a day now (three if my knee is irritated). I rarely have pain, and if I do, icing it makes it better. Using it consistently prevents pain, and also (for me) has the added benefit of not ever having to take ibprofin or any other pain medication. It's super-easy to use, and wearing it doesn't interfere with daily activities. It stays cold for more than 20 minutes. In my opinion, the Moji Knee is worth the price. I am very happy with the product.

I'm also looking at other Moji products. I ordered the double Moji-one (universal wrap) set for my athlete son. He doesn't have any injuries but he gets sore from his workouts. I believe icing regularly will benefit him by helping him recover from his workouts sooner. As an added benefit, I've started using one of his wraps on my opposite knee when I ice - which is even better yet!
