About the Author
Owen McCafferty was born in Belfast in 1961. Educated at St Augustine's secondary school in the city and at the University of Ulster, he has written many plays for the stage, including Winners, Losers & Non-Runners (1992), The Private Picture Show (1994), Freefalling (1996) and Shoot the Crow (1997). A new play, Closing Time, opens at the National Theatre in London in September 2002, and another, Troubled, will be staged next year.
