Steven Seagal delivers in the style of a genuine bluesman and a genuine musical talent. This is no fluke or flash-in-the-pan; it is dedicated, serious R&B-laced blues mastery, more than deserving to go on the shelf with B.B. King, SRV, and Robert Cray--and a true joy to listen to. To top it off, he has surrounded himself with some great blues talent, and the result is magic. Anybody who can pull off Muddy Water's Hoochie Coochie Man with such aplomb is to be taken more than seriously.

solid 3.5-4 star effort,

Mojo Priest was a very pleasant surprise. I first became aware of Seagal's musical talent when I discovered his music in one of his films. I'm not a Blues expert so my opinion comes strictly from someone who actively listens to a wide range of music ranging from classic rock to funk to opera. To my ear Mojo Priest is very listenable from first track to last. Seeing all the reviews at 5 or 4-star with only 2 1-star revies, I'm glad to see that the customer reviews for MP have been fair. I'd recommend giving Mojo Priest a try. It's well worth the reasonable MP3 download price on Amazon.
