This review is from: Moleskine Artists' Collection - 2010 Daily Planner 12 Month - Red, Large (Moleskine Artist Collection) (Calendar)
With high quality paper, plenty of writing space, a leather cover that (FINALLY!) features the YEAR... this is a win-win-win. I've used Moleskines (all their iterations, I suspect!) for years, and this is absolutely topnotch (on par with the red patent leather planner they came out with as a special edition; its only flaw was "no year" on the outside...)Why putting the year on the outside of a specific-year planner has been so difficult/challenging/beyond Moleskine is beyond ME, frankly, and I'm glad to see at least ONE that now has it - it sold me on paying a bit more for this one (rather than putting stickers on it, using a paint-marker or whatever, in an attempt to I.D. it!) Now - if they would also put the year on the SPINE... well, I'd be over the moon. Yes, those details DO matter. That it is real leather and features the artsy squiggles of Marti Guixe are just terrific "extras" -- YAY, MOLESKINE! It's as sharp in black as it is red (I prefer the red for the large, and have the pocket in black). The rest is "Moleskine" as usual: all the great helpful tables and reference pages, the accordion pocket in the back, the marker ribbon, elastic binder band...) I hope they continue this line with these specific features - and add the year to the spine (I DO keep my calendars on a shelf for ref once the year's gone by, and I think many others do, too). |
