Moleskine has created a new special collection in collaboration with artists and designers. Each year an artists/designer will design the cover of a limited edition leather diary. This year it's the turn of Marti Guixe, famous for his design work with the Spanish shoe retailer Camper. This 140-page weekly diary shows the whole week on two pages, showing the user their schedule at a glance. As well as the traditional Moleskine features such as an elastic closure, a pocket and detachable mini address book, the diary arrives packaged in a gift box.

Thank you, Moleskine, for putting the YEAR ON THE COVER (now, if you could stamp it on the spine, too...!) The Artist's series is GREAT!This planner has the usual excellent ivory-toned paper and wonderful Moleskine binding system so that it lies flat when using. My only gripe would be to print the times in darker ink - they are hard to see, and this is generally true of all Moleskine planners. It's tasteful, yes, as presently printed - but not always practical. The back pocket remains a truly useful feature. I always snip out the ribbon marker, as I use a flat fold-over magnet marker instead (the ribbon doesn't 'work' for me). As a long-time fan of Moleskine planners (all formats), I will remain with them! You can't go wrong - and this new Artist's line is just terrific (equally good-looking in black or red, by the way - although I do favor the red, which I have as a daily planner). I hope they expand it in the future, especially to the Weekly Planner with the facing Notes page format. And I look forward eagerly to what 2011 will bring from Moleskine!
