This is my favorite planner. It is portable, easy to write in and has both a place marker and an addendum for addresses, phone numbers and notes. The cover is sturdy enough that it doesn't fall apart by the end of the year, and I really need that after dragging it to multiple doctors, dentists, sports practises, music lessons, family get togethers and work.

This review is from: Moleskine Daily Planner 12 Months Hard Black Cover Large (Hardcover)
Note: For 2009 I used the regular sized planner and was not very happy with it. It was just a bit too small. So for 2010 I've gone back to the large daily planner. I'm trying out the soft cover. I'm a little nervous about that. Will it be too soft? I'm not sure I'll prefer it to the hard cover. But I know that I will prefer the larger planner to the smaller one.
I first started using the Moleskine daily planner in 2007 and have already purchased one for 2009. What I love about this is that it combines the quality of the regular notebooks with remarkable functionality. For instance, I utilize it only minimally as a planner but use it primarily as a log for what I have read and seen. Because a lot of my work involves watching TV shows and movies, I like to record precisely what I have watched each day, along with the page counts of the various books I have read in. There are several blank pages at the back and I use these to record how many times I have heard an album all the way through (I have the personal rule that I will not review any album on Amazon unless I have heard it ten times, which partially accounts for why nearly all my record reviews dispense four and five stars -- if I don't like an album I simply don't reach the requisite ten listens). Thus, I use this far more as a diary or work log than as a planner. I've always been blessed with a good memory and rarely find that I need to write down a future appointment or date. Because I use this far more to record what work I have gotten done and because I more work on my own projects more on Saturdays and Sundays than I do during the week, I really love that this planner devotes a whole page to both Saturday and Sunday. Too many planners give a half page to each day, the very days that I actually need more room for than other days. I do, however, write down future appointments and for this the planner is admirable. Again, its layout allows for flexibility. The hours are marked from 8 to 8, but the numbers are so small and unobtrusive as to leave a very light footprint on the page. If you want to use the page differently, you can easily do so. This is one of those few items that I have come to rely upon so frequently that I can't imagine doing without it. Every time I leave the house I have my messenger bag containing book, notebooks, iPod, pens and pencils, and planner. I can't imagine many not being delighted with this. I will add that in 2007 I used the regular sized daily planner, but in 2008 I switched to the large planner. I definitely recommend the larger size. If you, like me, intend to use this more as a journal than a planner, the extra space for writing is quite valuable. While I have not used the 2009 large daily planner, I can tell that it will be of far greater utility. In short, a huge thumbs up.

The best little planner...,

This review is from: Moleskine Daily Planner 12 Months Hard Red Cover Pocket (Hardcover)
I've bought two of these now - 2008 and 2009, and find them indispensable. They're the perfect size for a purse, and have the durability and style I expect from Moleskine (trust me, the 2008 was in a diaper bag and got red Kool-aid spilled all over it, and though a little swollen and discolored, still was usable throughout the last half of the year!). Each page is a day, which makes it easy to lay out your day in detail, as well as basic city, travel, time zone, and other guides in front. There's even stickers, dividers, and a pouch in back for receipts, scraps of paper and notes, or whatever else you'd like to fit in there!
This planner definitely does not let the Moleskine name down with quality of materials or content, and as long as they're making these perfect little planners, I'll be buying them!!

-Very stylish in size and bright red color!
-Pop color makes it easy to find in your purse/bag. -Perfect size. -Great quality and smooth, beautiful pages. -Fun fun fun stickers that are plentiful and cute in the back pocket. -Fun back pocket section to hold your little receipts and clippings. -I LOVE the two lines at the bottom that encourage you on each page to record the temperature and the weather conditions. -Overall, this really makes me make the most of each day because there's enough space on each page to really use it as a diary. -Useful reference pages at the beginning of the book. Recommended!

Superb calendar - as always!,
This review is from: Moleskine Daily Planner 2010 12 Month - Pocket, Red, Hard (Moleskine Srl) (Calendar)
This is my third year using a Moleskine planner. I am officially a convert. Love the small size, but still plenty of room to get a whole day's worth of appointments on each page. I appreciate the full-year calendars for the current and next years, which are bound toward the front. The small journal with stickers for custom tabs (and many other stickers for reminders throughout the years - fun too!) always get filled with the random things I encounter throughout the year: book & music reviews as heard on the radio, restaurant recs. from people on the bus, etc. If you are an analog holdout, like me, you couldn't choose a better planner.

This is a great little hard cover planner-- but dont make the mistake I made in thinking youre buying the larger version and accidently getting the pocket one. This one is about 6" x 4". Even though its small, its exactly like the larger version-- it has handy international holiday lists, time zone charts, etc -- it really packs a punch for being so small and is perfect for the international traveller.

This is my fourth year buying the Pocket Moleskine Daily Planner, which is certainly saying something. It's absolutely perfect for writing in the daily schedules for a college student and including work schedules, doctor appointments, dates, etc.

This review is from: Moleskine 2012 12 Month Daily Planner Red Hard Cover Pocket (Moleskine Legendary Notebooks (Calendars)) (Calendar)
I've used the twelve separate Moleskin booklets for each month of the year and loved it. Now I decided to give this a try.*Hello! It's the perfect red! *It has that great little elastic band that wraps around the book keeping it shut. *Thankfully it has a two page layout of each month so I can see the big picture *Then it has a page per day so I can get really detailed, you know, the way we used to write down appointments, phone numbers, and I use it during conversations to remind me exactly what was said. *If you really like to stand back, it has a two page spread of the entire year. *A tabbed section at the back allows me to get organized with various lists: gift lists for recipients etc. *It's 3 1/2 X 5 1/2 so it travels easily. I am a huge fan of Moleskin and this makes me happy!

I've given this daily planner to my daughter-in-law, a college professor, for Christmas 3 times. She started using them years ago and likes them so much she asks for another every year. She likes them because they're small enough to fit in her purse or tote and still big enough to jot down her daily plans. Red is her favorite color so I always order the red. Nice to know that no matter whether she likes anything else I give her I know she'll like at least one thing I give her; the Moleskine Daily Planner. Good buy and not expensive.

I love this little planner! It is compact but has a full page for each day so there is plenty of space to write. It is the perfect size to throw in your purse and it won't weigh you down. The red is super cute and the hardcover is durable. I actually lost the one I ordered at the beginning of the year and I have been distraught without it - I am ordering a replacement today!
