I've been wanting a Moleskin for a while, and I was not disappointed. I am using this primarily to keep track of my college class work. It is small enough to fit in my purse but still large enough to easily write down my assignments and to-do lists. There is even a little pocket in the back if I need to keep track of receipts or something of that nature. The attached place marker ribbon is very handy, and the elastic band keeps everything tidy.

Moleskine products (I have many of their note books and journals) are high quality. For 2010, I needed a new daily planner and this size seemed perfect for me. The thing I love most is the way their paper takes ink (sounds funny unless you try writing on them - then you will get it). I use gel or roller ball pens a lot and on Moleskine paper, the writing just flows. It also doesn't bleed through to the other side - especially if I use a fountain pen (not so much anymore but it's nice to know I could if I wanted.)
There is a small folder in the back for slips of paper and business cards. It's a thoughtful touch and I already have a couple of business cards (my next dentist appointment, for example) in there. The elastic band and silky ribbon bookmark complete the package. If you want to support a quality manufacturer of a high quality product, you should try something from Moleskine. I recommend one of their journals and that you keep it with your passport or in your luggage. That way you can keep a travel history - I have done so for years and it's a lot of fun reliving past good times.

Good little notebook to throw into a bag, or jam into a jeans pocket. Will be using it daily when the New Year comes.
Great paper thickness & quality. A pleasure to write in.

This is a good daily planner for a number of reasons. First of all, it has the Moleskine classic quality. This shows through on the hard bound cover and the classic features of elastic close and back inside pocket. Secondly, it is compact and functional. I was worried that a full year would be either bulky or useless, but it isn't.
It has some really useful sheets in the front: Personal Data, full year calendar 2010 and 2011 (months, 2 pages each year), full year calendar with a short line for each day 2010 and 2011 (6 pages each year), all international holidays (2 pages), full year calendar 2011 (2 pages), rudimentary map with time zones for whole world (2 pages), distances between major cities in the world (1 page), Dialing Codes/Internet TLD/Plate Codes for countries (1 page), Measures and Conversions (metric/US/GB, 1 page), International Sizes (clothes/shoes, 1 page), and a couple blanks with a ruler on the side (inches/cm). Each day of the year gets a page with the date and codes for countries with bank holidays that day at the top. Time is listed subtly on the left from 8 through 20 with four blank lines below, a line for weather (cloud), and a line for temperature (thermometer). If you want, it is easy to ignore all the time designations and just use it as a diary. Sunday has no time designations, but still has weather and temp. There is a removable address book in the back, which I like because I don't really want to carry it around. I can just leave it at home with my other Moleskines. Overall, this planner is clean and sleek and very useful.

Most important feature is the page-day setting. It is very elegant and has a pocket at the back cover which was a nice addition. Very classy and has a phone book that can be detached.

I have used and carried Moleskine notebooks for years due to the great paper and build quality, but 2011 will be my last one. The construction of their books is no longer anything special, especially for the price they demand. With my latest book the elastic came unglued from one end, then the other, and now the pocket bottom has worn through. When I contacted them, I was surprised to learn these are no longer made in Europe, but in China.
Moleskine has gone from a true quality product, to just another piece of Chinese made junk. There are better options on the market.

This will be the 5th time that I depend on this classic style "tally" book for my appointments and day to day thoughts. This year I have added a blotter sheet because I use a bold gel pen with this book. In this day and age of digital devices I am happy that this company still produces this book. It rides in my jacket pocket, or in summer months in my pants pocket. I have all important aspects right at my fingertips and the inner pocket holds contact lists and business cards. I have added a small note tablet for tear off sheets. I really would like to see some type of pen holder incorporated into the binding. Other than that small detail this is the best investment anyone could make in a small personal planner!

Moleskine Daily Diary/Planner,

I buy one every year. It's a great size... small enough for my bag, yet big enough to write in. High Quality. Sexy. Classic, old world styling. Mysterious. Gender neutral.
