5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect February 3, 2011

This is a beautiful leather Moleskine folio to hold an ereader, in my case a Kindle 3. It does say on the packaging that it's for the Kindle 2, but the 3 fits fine. The workmanship is excellent and it's a pleasure to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars For iPad mini also! December 6, 2012
By Lizard

When the iPad mini was first announced, I compared its specs and realized it was almost identical in all dimensions to the Kindle2. Guess that's a good size for handheld items! So I knew instead of waiting around for iPad mini cases to be developed, that I already have plenty to choose from. And after carrying it around for over 2 weeks, I can confirm that it fits an iPad mini reasonably securely.

This case appears to have typical Moleskine construction quality, though I haven't had it long enough to be certain. The notebook is reversible to allow for either right-handed or left-handed usage. Unfortunately, if you set it up so the notebook is on the left, the Moleskine logo that was designed to be at the bottom of the back cover is now at the top of the front cover, upside down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly for Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus July 25, 2012
Verified Purchase
I got this hoping that it would fit my Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, since it's just about the same size as my Kindle. It fits perfectly. There's even enough room to fit a fairly thick pen, clipping it right next to the notebook.

I only wish that the pad was a standard pad. I haven't been able to find the refills anywhere but ebay, so I stocked up on them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Plan foiled August 8, 2013
I guess I wanted to look edgy and stuff, with a foot in the 21st century reading the NYT on my Ipad mini, but still with the good ol' Moleskine notebook at the ready to jot down the phone number of a mysterious lady with my fountain pen. I hoped this cover would deliver, but it falls short in a couple of ways.

Two disclaimers: I am left handed, so you have to reverse the thing but it still works. The second is that this cover is not originally designed for the iPad mini, so take my review in that context only.

The major shortcoming is that this cover does not have the magnetic clips or whatever it is that shuts off the Ipad automatically when you close it. This forces you to hunt for the power button which, in the case of the mini, is small and recessed at least when when the mini wears this cover. Shutting off your Ipad becomes slow and constrained as opposed to smooth and completely effortless. Considering how much I use the thing, this shortcoming has in and of itself determined the early demise of this cover.

Secondly, the cover becomes thick, thus defeating having a mini in the first place. Lastly, when you prop up the cover to read with the Ipad on the table, you have to remember to secure the notebook with the elastic, or it starts dangling and the whole thing collapses.

If I ever meet a mysterious smoking lady I am toast, but for now I am happier with the cheaper Bear Motion, B009AOG3MQ . I am sure she will understand and still give me her phone number.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kindle slides out November 25, 2011

The Kindle slides loose from the elastic straps and falls from the notebook. Not really a safe protector. But, I like the paper pad for notes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for the iPad Mini! August 18, 2013

I've been looking for a notepad and case for my iPad Mini but the only option so far has been the Booq Notebook. While cute, the Booq wasn't exactly what I was looking for and then I stumbled upon this Moleskine that another Amazon user purchased for their Mini. The Volant Notebook triples the width of the Mini but it provides a good amount of protection, the ability to write and type (I do both based on what I'm focusing on, such as interviewing a person versus jotting down ideas), and looks very minimalistic. Great purchase!

3.0 out of 5 stars Came defective and a little bulky September 2, 2011
Verified Purchase
Bought for my Nook Color (not Kindle 2) as I read on another website that it would work. Was very excited to get this product but unfortunately it came defective. One if the straps was slightly cut causing part of the rubber to be exposed. However, I was able to return it without any hithces which was nice. When I had it, it was very nice, sturdy material and off course nice paper. Unfortunately it was little bulky for the Nook Color.
