What would you have wanted to know before you purchased the product?

The size I expected was 25cm X 19cm. In fact I received a 21cm X 13cm moleskine 2013 12 monthly notebook planner.

I have used Moleskine notebooks for a few years now and I love their plain notebooks. I needed a planner for this year so I decided that I would give the Moleskine planner a try. The short summary of this is that I didn't get exactly what I was expecting but I did get a quality product. I was expecting more of a daily planner (a few days per page with space to write events for each day) but the planner has a format different than anything else I've used. Instead, the planner gives you a monthly calendar (smallish squares, but enough to write short notes) and a couple lined pages per month to make notes about events. I have to say that while it wasn't what I thought it was, the system of organizing things has definitely grown on me. It's nice because it allows you to quickly look between an overview of the month and specific notes without the hassle of trying to find a particular day in a day planner. Overall, I like it though it did take a little adjustment.

I actually ordered the wrong size, this is the smaller planner, not the extra large I was expecting, but honestly I think it's a better buy for me, since I can carry this in my handbag without a problem.

One of the more annoying things is that this calendar starts on Monday... that will totally flip you out until you get use to it (and frankly I've changed all of my e-calendars to match that) because you WILL schedule something for a Tuesday when you meant Monday. It takes a bit to get use to.
There are lined pages after the month to jot down notes, and a few blank pages at the end for notes as well. If you want a basic calendar to write down your appointments, and you like the Moleskine style, it's a good buy

The fact that the week starts on a Monday is kind of annoying. Not a huge deal, but just something to think about when you open your planner.

And it's just black. How boring. :o( I mod podged some ribbon and a print out of my favorite quote on the front just to spruce it up a bit. Now it's perfect.

I love the journal part at the back. The size is perfect. The calendar squares are big enough to write in. I like the notes pages after each month. So glad I don't have to sift through the weekly portion to get to the months. More people should make monthly only calendars this size. I'll continue to buy this one for a long long time. Thanks!

I knew EXACTLY what kind of planner I wanted. I went to my regular local retailers, but they did not have any. They even tried to order it and were not able to. When I found in on amazon, I was delighted! It came neatly packaged, brand new, smelling like a new book. I love the texture of the cover, the pocket in the back and the texture of the pages. It has an elastic closure and a ribbon bookmark, along with plenty of other useful pages, like a logs for travel, and a few small stickers for special events. It is perfect for my needs. I loved finding the item here when I couldn't find it anywhere else.

I love love love this calendar. It's the perfect monthly view (the xtra large version) -- large enough to write down all my appointments (I have up to 7 appointments a day), but small enough to throw in a messenger bag, large purse, or a briefcase. The "grown-up stickers" are so much fun too; I especially love the martini glass ones and the forks. The only negative is that I do agree with the reviewers about the thinness of the paper; depending on the ink of your pen, the pages may leak a bit.

The extra notebook space in the book is terrific - you get note pages after each month, then a bunch more at the end. The purse/diary size is great for me as well, but people with larger handwriting may want the next size up - 8 1/2 x 11 or comparable. My only issue is that it doesn't lie flat when open like the larger one does. You have to break it in a little and/or sit something on the facing page if you want it open to reference while doing something else. Small problem, and otherwise great planner.

I ordered this for my wife as she likes to make copious notes in her date book - these are becoming more difficult to find as the smart cellphones offer extensive note capabilities - however, one has to take time to punch in extensive details in a cellphone as compared to writing extra notes within this planner - I also found a colorful fabric zipper cover which is a nice combination for purse storage - planner is fairly high quality but extensive use will have the covers starting to fray at the edges

I was searching endlessly for a month- only view (hate the planners that add the weekly view) that was large enough to make notes in and small enough to carry in my purse. This one is perfect and lives up to the quality we expect from Moleskin. Handy accordian pocket in the back cover & plenty of notes pages. I will be ordering another one each year, the search is over.

I am officially addicted to Moleskine! I love that I have a large calendar to write appointments but also journal paper to write notes.

There's only one thing I dislike: Monday start on the calendar. Every other calendar starts on Sunday. This can be confusing. But...not enough to stop me from using it. :)
