I mistakenly purchased this from Barnes&Noble on impulse instead of buying it from here, got stiffed for a few extra bucks.

This is a great notebook to jot down your thoughts or for any writing purpose, great flexible leather cover, and soft acid-free paper, also its book bound (?) so it lays flat on what ever page you are on. I highly recommend it, although it will not make you a Steven King.

I had been searching for a journal of this quality for months, and now I have the perfect travelling companion. This notebook is extremely sturdy: it withstood the mountains of Georgia, the snows of Colorado, and the swampland of Florida. The paper has a great feel, and there is not a hint of ink bleed.

I've been using moleskine notebooks off and on for years but have fallen in love with the softcovers. They are malleable, great quality and can take a lot of abuse. I carry one with me at all times. I highly recommend them!

When I first received my journals, I was somewhat disappointed only because the ones I ordered has no lines, BUT NOW...what a GREAT journal. It goes everywhere with me; totally portable and the expandable pouch in the back is excellent for holding my loose stuff. A most unique, handmade journal! I got the soft cover in all of the journals I ordered and just love them!!!!! If you are looking for a journal, look no further. These are absolutely fabulous! Moleskine makes one great product.

The Moleskine Notebooks are excellent.
Our eldest son gave my husband his first one.
He is a writer and since discovering Moleskine notebooks his collection is steadily growing.
Recommended to any person who enjoys quality for their writing.

Though I saw the dimensions before purchasing, in my mind the notebook would have been bigger. That being said it is the perfect size to take a few notes in a meeting or in class.

I'm new to the Moleskine world, but I now understand why these notebooks are rated so highly. I was looking for a nice little black book (I bought this one and the pocket sized one). The cover is a nice texture and I love how flat they can lie open, it's perfect for drawing or jotting down ideas. I believe I am officially hooked to these notebooks, I look for any reason to write in them.

After using Moleskine notebooks for several years, we recently purchased a couple for our toddler daughters. The pages are tough enough that they can't easily mutilate them, are sturdy enough to withstand 'aggressive' coloring and writing, and the notebook itself is a nice size to use as both a place to draw and a place to paste stickers (taken with a photo sticker printer) to document adventures. The cover of the notebook appears well made and now that ours are completely coated with stickers I can say that they hold up well (so, is in fact well made!).

Two other things about the Moleskine notebooks that I like are the pocket in the back and the strap for holding it closed. I've bought the cheap knockoff Picadilly notebooks before and not only does the strap stretch out to become unusable almost immediately but the pocket is flimsy and doesn't hold up. I only use that notebook for taking seminar notes once a week and it 'died' very quickly. Conversely, the Moleskine displays a care in workmanship and quality of materials that is easily evident upon removing the shrink wrap.

These notebooks (any of them, but the large, plain in particular) are excellent for long-term, everyday use for anyone. Durable enough for toddlers, yet useful and flexible (application-wise) enough for an adult. A joy to use!

I keep this item next to my netbooks and computers and write down everything that used to go on little scraps of paper. I also slip it into bag for comparison shopping and notes at lectures and quick sketches. Good way to keep track of transactions, passwords, obsessive time wasting searches and fascinating tidbits. Don't need to charge battery. Don't have to shut off during airplane boot up time. Flexible and so easy to squinch into weird spots in my bags. VERY USEFUL !
