After many years of experimenting with organizers both paper based and electronic I have finally settled on the Moleskine weekly planner. The left page has the days of the week including the weekend and the facing page is ruled. I keep my appointments on the left and notes and tasks go on the right. The paper takes ink well although a wide nib fountain pen or gel pen can still bleed through a bit.

I should preface by saying that I use this in tandem with electronic planning, PDA phone and computer. This is my third Moleskine planner and my preferred format (week view on the left and note area on the right). The dimensions of the large planner are about steno pad size and just the right size to be functional without being unwieldy. I prefer the look and feel of the softbound version after having used a hardcover for a year. I find it easier to flip through in softcover.

I used Franklin Covey planners for years and found them cumbersome and unrealistic for capturing all information throughout the day. When I resigned to using a notepad for notes and a planner for meetings and brief notes associated with them I found both easier to manage. If I didn't have electronic planners also, I would probably use the daily version. Weekly with the note area complements my electronic calendar well by providing a quick reference to look up and jot down dates, meetings and tasks while in both formal and informal meetings.

This item arrived quickly, in excellent condition. love this product, have been using moleskin 12 months note book for a few years now. this size works well for me as it is large enough to jot down notes, but small enough to fit in my handbag or carry around. the format is fantasic, one page with a weekly calendar, and one ruled page for freestyle entries. it is often out of stock here in Australia, so it is extremely handy to be able to purchase online. over all: stoked.

The paper is a lovely cream color and makes for smooth writing with a fountain pen. I had no ink bleed through or feathering. I like the simple layout with the right hand page for each week being a simple lined page. This enables me to record any type of information I need to for the week (usually simple journal entries). The book held up very well all year, even being thrown in my backpack on a daily basis. The only negative problem I had all year was that the place mark ribbon came unglued and fell out sometime and was lost. (Later edit: I have continued to but this product as my primary calendar each year and have never again had the problem with the ribbon coming unglued). Otherwise, a perfect minimalist analog planner! Great for GTD as it lets the user, not the publisher, decide the format. Several blank note pages at the end provide space for lists, inspiring quotes, or important phone numbers.

This is my second Moleskine planner, the first of which was an XL 18-month planner. The large is much more portable and fits into my purse nicely while still allowing plenty of room for my notes & to-dos. The XL is just a bit too large and I almost never used up all of the weekly note space. The layout of the calendar on the left and notes page on the right is excellent - just enough structure. Moleskine notebooks are great, but their planners are just brilliantly designed.

I ordered an item on Jan.3rd. It is now Jan. 24th and the item has still not arrived. When I check back on the status it said I would receive the item no later than Jan. 24th. Not only that is I'm leaving the country the 30th and was expecting this before I left. I finally received an email update today saying they still have no located this item! How could I have bought it if hit didn't even exist. Now I have find an entire new product and get it before I leave in 6 days. Thanks Amazon

Despite it's description as Large, this is the perfect size to carry. I like the layout as there is plenty of room for notes and appointments. I have never used a Moleskine product before, but this one feels and looks like it will hold up to heavy use. It does lay flat and I like the elastic closure. Well worth the money!

if you haven't used a Moleskine product before, you're missing out. i used to be skeptical that the price was worth the product, but the first time i wrote in one, i was hooked. the thickness of the paper creates a smooth and solid feel for your notes. you can tell it's quality, and you can tell the difference between Moleskine and other paper from there on out.

for the weekly notebook, this is the BEST. the days listed on the left with a ruled side on the right provides the perfect blend of structure with note-taking. for me, i use the days for scheduling appointments and the right for my to-do list. perfect blend.

quality organizers are worth it, and that could not be more true than it is with this one.

It's the 2nd year in a row that I have purchased this weekly notebook and I will keep doing it. It is a slim and medium size notebook, great for writing down your weekly tasks and additional notes on the last pages of the notebook.

It's simple and effective for planning your week, also great for people that travels a lot.

This is the best diary organiser as far as i am concerned and i will always be in the market to purchase it!! The design is simply the best, it would be cool if it came in a brown colour too for a little variety but hey i am more than happy with black.
