5.0 out of 5 stars The simple, yet elegant, large weekly throw Moleskin Diary
There is always some feelings of reservation when purchasing such personal iems like diaries from the internet.
When I first opened the box I was a little dissapointed by the size of the diary itself. Make no mistake these are the size of a sheet of A4 paper and about 10mm or 1/2" thick.
But the layout inside is fantastic I have come accross no other item...

3.0 out of 5 stars Moleskin Weekly Calendar
I thought that I had ordered the monthly and by mistake I ordered the weekly. It is ok but I would have preferred the monthly.

5.0 out of 5 stars The simple, yet elegant, large weekly throw Moleskin Diary, December 23, 2008
There is always some feelings of reservation when purchasing such personal iems like diaries from the internet.
When I first opened the box I was a little dissapointed by the size of the diary itself. Make no mistake these are the size of a sheet of A4 paper and about 10mm or 1/2" thick.
But the layout inside is fantastic I have come accross no other item similar. The week is presented on the left page and is clear of lines to allow for scribble ect. The right side is a basic lined page for all you notes from the week. It works very well and is plenty big enough for even the most busy managers, buisness men/women, organised parents or whatever.
The craftmanship in the diary is fantasic and it is so great to see a real leather bound item, it opens flat looks very stylish and ages very nicely. The rounded edges are a nice touch too as they don't curl up like on normal diaries. OK too boot there is a good 3 yr planner in the front (standard I know) and a conversion chart, plus black pages at the back for sketches and also a rugged pocket inside the back cover for reciepts or buisness cards.
In summary:
Pros: Quality, History, Leather!, Bookmark and elastic closed holder, style, well priced
Cons: A4 size may be a bit large for some, thin width makes it not quite as rugged as the other sizes.
I would recommend the A5, weekly, Molskin the best diary you can get, make you life in one of these things and it will make you life that bit more organised.
Thanks for reading.
Les

This review is from: Moleskine Weekly Notebook 2010 12 Month X-Large Soft Black (Moleskine Srl) (Calendar)
I have been a fan of Moleskin products for a while. A few years ago I tried out the calendar and am hooked. I prefer a paper calendar to a pda/phone because I like to be able to look at multiple weeks at a glance at the same time. Plus I like to use a paper calendar for notes and lists and to organize bills & notes from other sources. (call me old fashioned)

I appreciate that the overall size is generous, but the calendar is thin (and not bulky). The moleskin calendar is flexible (soft cover version), yet durable. Plastic covers on other calendars can break and bend, but Moleskin remains pliable. I like the general layout with a full week on one side, faced by a lined page for notes (even accommodates my large handwriting. The pocket in the back is handy for loose notes & stamps. The elastic band keeps the pages closed or can be used to mark a particular page. Plus the overall look is professional and neat. Even teh paper is a good quality!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Notebook, October 31, 2009

I'm biased - I fell in love with Moleskine 2 years ago because of the planner. I've went through probably 10 different planners or pda's in the last 15 years until I found that and I'm sold. It's everything - the cover, the touch and look of the paper, how it feels when you write on it. The notebook is just as good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Perfect!, November 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have the smaller version of this planner for the current calendar year and really like, but would have liked more room to take notes in. The XL size is absolutely perfect for someone looking to keep basic notes and their calendar in the same place. It's pretty thin and very light, and just looks awesome. I'll probably use Moleskines forever.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Calendar!, September 27, 2010

Over the years, I have used DayRunner, DayTimer, and Franklin/Covey. This Moleskine calender is slim, so it will easily fit in my messenger bag. It is big enough to have room to write in easily. I love the ruled page on the right hand side to keep notes of significant events, appointments, and to-dos. It has cut down the weight of carrying my calendar by about 95%, yet I have more functional space than I did with the old systems.

4.0 out of 5 stars Prefer the smaller version, June 28, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is a good planner. I really like that the calendar is on one of the facing pages with room for notes on the other. It allows me to keep notes without being too thick.

I only gave it four stars because I had a pocket size version last year that I found much more useful. Like many things, a calendar is only useful if you actually carry it with you.

Moleskine 2012 12 Month Monthly Notebook Black Soft Cover Pocket (Moleskine Legendary Notebooks (Calendars))
I have to be honest I usually purchase this item locally at a chain bookstore, but when I went to purchase this year they were sold out of the size and style I wanted. So I went to my trusted Amazon to purchase. I have to admit I got a little confused with all the choices (and why the heck are they still selling 2011 calendars!), I ended up ordering the wrong size. I will just re-order the right one as it is the best one I have ever found. Having appointments listed on the left an dthe note page on the right gives me the ability to really only carry this one planner to my meetings. At times i may carry a smaller moleskin lined journal in the back pocket in case it is heavy note taking meeting.

If I have one complaint for this product, it would come from my style sense. I want some fun and whimsy, why can't they carry they soft cover calendar/planners in some of their fun colors!

The Moleskine 12 month notebook is the perfect tool for keeping me on track. The weekly schedule of meetings and appointments goes on the left, and the right side is for tasks and notes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Moleskine Review, December 12, 2008

Love this product! I use it every year. The only problem was that I ordered the wrong size so I had to send this one back and get the smaller version.
