5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Hooked, December 7, 2009
By
This review is from: Moleskine Weekly Planner Horizontal 12 Month Large Black (Moleskine Srl) (Calendar)
I'm going on four years with this kind of planner. Fantastic for academic or work use. Easy to plan all day events or individual appointments with amount of space provided. Fits well in a work bag or larger purse. Check the dimensions if you're worried about it fitting, you may want the pocket-sized version. This one is about half of a letter-sized page.

The one I have currently (almost a year) looks barely used from the outside. The page-holder string does fray slightly. Hard cover and elastic closure keep pages very nice. Has two years of monthly-view section in front to mark important days. Lots of handy information for the international traveler in front, plus removable address book that slips into the pocket in the back.

Definitely worth the investment if you plan on carrying it around. Holds up well to moderate abuse (being tossed into bottom of bag), and has definitely kept me more organized!

4.0 out of 5 stars old fashioned organization, November 15, 2010

I have drunk the Apple Kool Aid and so value my iPhone tremendously but, maybe it's because I'm old, I have to have a written agenda. The Moleskine gives me the ability to see my whole week and is large enough to make notes about my days yet small enough to fit into most bags.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Datebook You Can Buy - Hands Down, October 5, 2007
I love these date books. I especially like the soft cover. It's butter soft to the touch. The paper is acid free so you can use a fountain pen or, for that matter, any writing instrument and it will feel and look great.

On the left hand side is the place for appointments and to-dos. On the right you can put notes or more to-dos, anything you want.

I use mine to schedule my projects and keep appointments. It's just the right size for my desk. But it could just as easily go into a bag of some sort for either a man or woman.

These are exceptionally well made. They'll last forever. You'll be proud to own and use one.

Highly recommended. Get one every year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works better with a fine ballpoint pen, January 12, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This is my first Moleskine planner. I really like the size, layout and construction. The strap and the bookmark are handy as well as the calender pages and built in ruler. I initially started writing on the first couple of pages with a gel pen and that smeared at times and while the paper is not super thin and the ink doesn't really bleed though, using a fine ballpoint pen avoids seeing the writing from the other side of the page which was distracting before. All in all, I really like this planner and I expect to get more in the coming years.

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 years and counting..., November 18, 2010

I'm near the end of the 5th year of using the Moleskine calendar and can't imagine using anything else. These planners hold up beautifully despite a year's worth of abuse. I carry it with me nearly every day and you wouldn't know it from the looks of it! I love that you can see the entire week across 2 pages. The books look nice on the shelf after the year is up - my current planner will take its place on the shelf next to the others!

5.0 out of 5 stars You dont have to be Hemingway to like Molekine, February 19, 2009
The weekly planner is both elegant and tough. It still looks good after 52 weeks of heavy duty, Unlike computers it never crashes,

5.0 out of 5 stars perfect perfect !, December 14, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I have been using Moleskine planners since 4 years now and cannot think of using another. The feel, the size (always used 'large'), the writing space are all perfect. The previous ones I had used were all non-horizontal ones. This year I wanted to try out this horizontal that has 9 lines allocated for each day, which is more than sufficient for daily events, appointments.
Just one tip: You may want to avoid using extra-fine rollerball pens as the ink bleeds a bit to the back. Just use any other pen-pencil and you will be happy with the purchase
