The violin I received was in good shape, except for one minor scratch in the varnish on the back. But the wood itself wasn't damaged. The sound of the violin is very nice. If I had it to do over again, knowing what I know, I would buy this violin. The only genuine drawback was the low quality of the strings that came with the violin. Buy replacement string if you buy this violin.

This violin is very well built and great for beginner and intermediate player. The sound is very nice and I bought some new strings just in case, but I think the strings are of good quality. The bridge was just loose in the case and was a little damaged from shipping, but still usable for a while.

The only thing I would suggest is buying some Rosin (the one that comes with almost any new violin is about useless) to wax the bow. You might want to look into getting Peg Drops as well so the pegs stay in place better.

The violin came to us with broken/ unsecured parts. It was set up as a viola not a violin as we had purchased. There were also strings broken. The item is toy like which the seller sppecified that it was'nt. Overall I am very disatisfied with this seller and the product.
