Being a long-time Oak Ridge Boys' fan, I guess most people would think I'm not very subjective in my opinion of this WONDERFUL work so I put this book to the toughest test I could think of.....my second grade class. They absolutely LOVED it and asked me to read it to them again and again....every day during storytime for a week. To me, their opinion speaks VOLUMES!!! So you see, my feelings were not as biased as even I had thought!!!

Mr. Bonsall's Molly book is a work of art. In his first bookabout his real-life cat, he has shown us through the eyes of a cat, how the world looks. Children love the book and adults can learn from "Molly".

Everytime my nieces and nephews come to my home, they ask me to read Molly to them!! I'll read it to them three or four times in one sitting!! When they are not here, there's nothing I like better to do than curl up on my couch and read Molly to myself, especially after a rough day at work!! This is an awesome book!!

Being both a teacher and a counselor I see many books that are aimed at children and have become rather critical of the content and approach. I would recommend this book without hesitation. It is well written with many ideas and approaches that can be expanded on all the way from the issue of abandonment and security of family and friends (in human and animal form)to just plain fun. It is written on the child's level but has concepts and vocabulary that challenge thought. It's a winner.It is in its second printing so I am not alone in this opinion.Don't miss it.

Joe really knows how to see things from a cats point of view and describes it wonderfully.The illustrations really capture the image of Joe's cats.

Molly is a darling book with memorable characters that children of all ages will enjoy. The story; about cats and their people delivers a strong message in a gentle way, and reads well. The book is both written and illustrated from the cat's point of view giving it a refreshing angle I loved.

Molly and its characters will capture your heart as well as the imagination; and is a must for a children's story, cat lovers, or anyone with a warm fuzzy heart!

Love the concept of this book (an abandoned kitten gets adopted by a single lady with many cats and both live happily forever after) but I find the writing irritating. The author uses too many cutesy and sentimental phrases "humancat", "the God of all living creatures", the mother cat's humanized thoughts and feelings. I dislike reading this to my child as a result. The pictures are very cute though and the authors introduction of the other three cats in the family is enjoyable. I just wish this book had been edited a little better.

My mom used to read this to my sisters and i almost every night. We loved it so much we named our calico Molly after her! I miss this book, its so good.
