4.0 out of 5 stars Recommended, June 20, 2003
This review is from: Molly's Puppy Tale (American Girl) (Hardcover)
This is another in the American Girls Short Stories series about Molly McIntire, a ten-year-old girl living on the home front during World War 2. In this book, Molly is quite happy that her new puppy relies only on her and plays only with her. However, when the puppy begins to spend too much time with Molly's brother Ricky, she decides that she will make sure that no one can spend any time with the puppy but her. However, Molly learns a lesson when the puppy begins to need more time and attention than any one person can give it!

The final chapter of this book has a great look at dogs during (and in) World War II, and a wonderful recipe for making your own, homemade, dog treats. This is another wonderful Molly book, one that keeps up the fine tradition of the American Girls books. My daughter and I both enjoyed this book and recommend it to you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mollys Puppy Tale, December 1, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Molly's Puppy Tale (American Girl) (Hardcover)
The American Girls Collection are good books to read. They teach you sharing, caring, and friendship. These books are great to read and so much fun.

In this book, Molly's Puppy Tale, Molly learns how to share. Molly just got a new dog, Bennett, and she has been bragging to her friends how Bennett loves her and comes when he is called. When she gets home with her friends she realizes her brother Rickey has been playing with Bennett and Molly thinks that Bennett likes Ricky better than her. So Molly decided to not share Bennett with Ricky, and Bennett dose not like it. One day Molly had girl scouts and she doesn't come straight home to Bennett, and he tour apart Molly's room. So Molly had to stop her after school activities. It was too much for Molly, so she decided to share Bennett with Ricky.

The author wanted to write about a dog because she has a dog just like Bennett. Her dog is loving, and friendly. So far he chewed up five welcome mats.
