4.0 out of 5 stars power ambience
This will strongly appeal to anyone who likes darker electronic moods as exemplified by early Tangerine Dream or even more drone acts like Fear Falls Burning or even Sunn o))).A deep listen experience for the open minded.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Question Is Why?
I bought this because it was recommended to me here on amazon as a Steve Wilson solo album. It is not. Rather it is another "effort", if you could call it that, of his ambient drone project Bass Communion. I have accidentally bought some lousy albums in the past, but Molotov and Haze has to rank as one of the worst.

So the other reviewer doesn't like ambient music and is upset he bought this. This is great ambient music but it is not Porcupine Tree or any of S. Wilson's other bands.

It has great artwork and is well-packaged, but the music within stretches the definition of the word. Two of the four pieces , Glacial and Haze, might actually be OK as the background music in a documentary about something mysterious but the other two are just a hellish din that could have been useful in "torturing" terrorists held at Gitmo.

The big question surrounding this album is "why?". Unless you relish the prospect of listening to just under an hour's worth of relentless noise, avoid this. Fans of Bass Communion may say that I just don't get and they would be right. I don't.
