The Molten BGG7 FIBA Official Indoor Composite 29.5 Basketball. The Molten BGG7 is an official men's 29.5, size 7 and has a durable composite cover made to handle indoor use. In the past years basketballs have been manufactured in eight panels, but Molten has broken with tradition and developed a new, radical design basketball featuring 12 panels. This new G-Series ball is eye catching with its two bands of color. Molten's 2-Tone 12 panel design enhance visibility and it is packed with ground breaking technology to boost player performance in all areas including dribbling, passing and shooting. Most importantly, the additional seams provide increased finger-tip control for improved passing and shooting accuracy. This basketball is available in both Official size 7, and Intermediate size 6.

It's tough to make a change from something that you have known for so many years, but in this instance change is good. After playing with the FIBA style basketball I find myself not wanting to go back to the normal American style basketball. The additional grooves offer greater control and the multiple colors makes the ball easier to see. No other way to explain it except that the ball feels great coming out of your hands on every shot. If you haven't used a FIBA ball, I would greatly recommend it.

These balls are supposed to get better as you use them. Once you break in the composite, the ball becomes softer and has a better feel. I haven't gotten my ball to this point yet, but it's already an excellent ball.

Not to mention a conversation starter whenever you take it out at the gym, everyone seems to want to play with the "new ball"

Ball has a little bit of an odd feel to it, but I spent a couple years overseas, so I'm used to the ball to begin with. Now coaching, this ball actually is a good coaching ball, especially younger kids, as the different colors teach proper rotation on shooting. I will honestly credit this ball for the incredible shooters Europe, Asia and South America pump out to the NBA.
