5.0 out of 5 stars A great book about growing up with a single parent, May 1, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mom, the Wolf Man and Me (Audio Cassette)
I think this book is great for children who do not have a father. Brett Levin is an 11-year-old who lives with her mom, Deborah, a photographer, in New York City. Deborah never married Brett's father and Brett faces life without a father and she is enjoys it that way.

Brett's friend Evelyn desperately wants her divorced mother to find her a father and obsessively tries to help her mom with her dates. Brett discusses how she likes having a single mom and how Evelyn tries to hard to get a father. Brett meets Theo while at a fashion show where her mom is taking pictures. Theo is near Deborah's age and he has an Irish wolfhound. Deborah meets Theo, or the Wolf Man as Brett calls him, at a march in Washington.

I really enjoyed this book and I would definitely recommend it. It took little time to read and readers of this age would benefit from reading about another person their age.
