Not so great after all, May 25, 2007
I tought this was going to be an excellent solution to help me get back to my pre-pregnancy size (or at least close). However it is not so great after all. The belt folds when you are sitting down and it moves pretty easily as you perform normal activities. If what you want is a belt that would bind your tummy so that it doesn't feel loose then this belt is fine, but if you are looking for something that will bind you tightly and help shape your body after pregnancy this one is not for that.
To be fair, I should say that it's better than the Medela belt, and since I saw only those two I don't know if there is something better out there. There is one problem with the sizing... they say to measure your after pregnancy waist and go with that size, however as you start to loose weight and inches on you waist it comes a point where the belt starts getting big. I'm at a point where I have to secure the velcro past the fabric in the middle inteded for that for it to be tight.
Bottom line... good option but not an excellent one.

Post Partum Support Belt - Great for C-Section, February 11, 2008
This review is from: PostPartum Support Belt - Maternity (Apparel)
I looked all over the internet for a support belt - I read that having one after major abdominal surgery (c-section) was helpful. . . When I asked one of the nurses before I went in, she discouraged me from purchasing one, because she said that I might get dependent on it. I would rely on the belt instead of working on strengthening my stomach muscles (this is a lady that has had 3 c-sections herself).
So I had my c-section, was in the hospital for 4 days after, and thought, "this isn't so bad! I don't need the belt," but then I came home and the pain medications started to wear off. My stomach was still pouchy in the front, and just by trying to walk upright, my back hurt. . . SOOO. . .
I bought the belt.
It helps if you do not rely on it. I used it for back support, and lower stomach support. This isn't comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time. . . and when I first put it on, it was snug - after pregnancy, you're still "pregnant"!
PROS:
- Back support for after c-section or major abdominal surgery
- Holds waistline in
- Semi-invisible under clothing
- Made entirely of stretchy elastic
- Could stretch the velcro all the way over and fasten
CONS:
- Rolls down/shifts during wear
- Not super comfortable
- The length is a little too short - it would probably fit better if it was contoured or longer in height
- Not enough support after vaginal delivery
I don't think I would recommend this item - not comfortable enough, or practical enough. Keep in mind that this product probably doesn't have enough support if you're looking for a "corset" style support belt.

Must have for C-sections!, June 8, 2007
A post-partum support really helps when you're trying to get your rest and regain your mobility. It's best if you have it on hand before you deliver so you can wear it as soon as your doctor says it's ok. I recommend getting a larger size if you're not sure. The velco will stick anywhere on the belt.
