5.0 out of 5 stars Martin Freeland strikes again, May 3, 2002
This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
Troughout my time with psychedelic Trance music theres allways been the good old roots of the genre, and thats where this record comes in.
Along with old scool Goa-Trance artists like Lior Perlmutter & Avi Nissim (Astral Projection), Simon Posford (Hallucinogen) to name a few, Martin Freeland (Man With No Name) is one of the true artists that have his unique sound and old school beats that makes it so special.
The title track "Moment Of Truth" is a absolute killer tune, and along with some other traxx on this album like "Azymuth" & "Cairo" it makes it his best album. Theres simply full of superb tunes, and to mention some good ones is near a shame, since theyre all so good.
If you like this album, i bet you will love his other albums as well, and on the "earth moving the sun" album he puts in one of his newer masterpeices "Own The World".
If you want to know all about the classic goa beat, well this is the ultimate record to buy!
Sit back, relax..and "live for this moment here".

5.0 out of 5 stars SIMPLY AMAZING, September 24, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
My friend actually found this on mp3, then deleted it! We did burn it, but nothing like the actual thing, know what I mean? I can't believe they only sell it as an import! For all the goa-trance fans, and for all others, this is a MUST HAVE. It is seriously THE best album in all of techno. Many claim to be into the "underground" scene of techno, yet have never even heard of goa trance. Man With No Name has no doubt made a masterpiece with this album. Sorry, I can't praise it enough, I get energized just thinking about the album. My personal favs off the album: Floor Essence, and Azymuth. Ahhh! Just buy it already!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, October 10, 2005
This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
MWNN and Astral Projection are easily the best of this form of sound. Others try, but others don't measure up. Also check out Dancing Galaxy and Another World from AP. Oh, and get anything you can find from Art of Trance. If you have come this far in your musical evolution don't miss Art of Trance! ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars This CD is fantastic! Buy it!, August 23, 1998

This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
I'd heard bits and pieces of Man With No Name on a few goa compilations, specifically ones that Paul Oakenfold had mixed. When we got this disc, both my girlfriend and I flipped out. Excellent energy, very danceable and upbeat. There are also a couple of more ambient tracks, but for the most part, this is a lot of high-energy, multi-layered complex sounds. It's a great work-out for your brain. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredibly melodious spin on progressive trance, October 29, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
I love this record. It's the only progressive trance record apart from Cygnus X's Hypermetrical that I still return to a couple of years after its release. It is one of the few records in the genre which seems utterly timeless.

If you heard, and you're bound to have, Flooressence and loved it, there's no way you can go wrong with this record.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Moments, February 27, 2008
By
This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
This is a very good 1996 release, although I think Teleportation (2000) is his real masterpiece. But this has many great songs, like SUGAR RUSH and FLOOR ESSENCE are classic Trance Tracks. The tracks I like the best are MOMENT OF TRUTH, SUBTRIFUGE, EVOLUTION, COSMIC ECHOS, AZYMUTH and LOW COMMOTION. I think these are the strongest tracks worth the dollar per download. Although this is a great release, look for http://www.amazon.com/Man-No-Name-Teleportation-Greatest/dp/B00004Y25C/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1204135710&sr=1-4.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! Opened new music horizons for me., July 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Moment of Truth (Audio CD)
I got this CD almost by mistake, looking for something else. It introduced me to trance, and it's still up there in my personal top 3. Sometimes I don't take it out of the player for more than a week. If you've got a chance to find it, do the same mistake :).
