The gap widens between Obi and Anakin,
By
This review is from: The Moment of Truth (Star Wars Jedi Quest #7) (Paperback)
This was an excellent book for those following the Obi/Anikan rift that just seems to deepen. to me the highlight of this book is when we get to see what happend to Obi-Wan when he fell into that nest of Gundarks that he refers to in Episode II.
The in this book was that Zan Arbor shows up, still up to her medicical misdeeds as she creats what is called "Zone of Self-Containment" in which Anakin finds himself trapped in. I must admit this book is not as "clift hanging" as most of Jude Watsons books are...but it is very very enjoyable..and does build to the JQ #8 A definate "must" for lovers of "Jedi Quest"

Another entry in the Jedi Quest series,

This review is from: The Moment of Truth (Star Wars Jedi Quest #7) (Paperback)
After reading all of the Jedi Apprentice books and many of the Jedi Quest books, many story elements begin to repeat themselves. It seems that many of these books follow the same plot, one of the protagonists gets captured, the other protagonist disguises himself as a maintenance worker to sneak in and make the rescue, then they escape and save the planet in less then 24 hours. Maybe I'm expecting too much from a book that's targeted to a younger audience, but it seems there must be something more that can be added to these stories. Not only are the plots simple, but there is little descriptive text about the aliens, planets, or any of the other characters in the book. I think these books would be better with an additional twenty or thirty pages so that there could be more immersion into the uniqueness of the Star Wars universe. As it is, there's nothing really special about this book.

this book gives a great insight into the relationship of Obi-Wan and Anakin. It also shows the stress that Anakin is going through being the Chosen One.
