Jeffrey Koepper, Whose name may not YET be vastly known, has become something of a Memorable name with my collection... Yes, True, That his style may be similar the some of the artists that have been labled by other fellow reviewers, such as Tangerine Dream. In My view though, this CD is moderately different to Tangerine Dream... Theres a lot more elements to it then Tangerine Dream's named productions, IE Phaedra...

What one may not realise, is that this album from Koepper, incorporates the work Of Steve Roach, taking the "Tangerine Dream" sound ount of the mainstream, & Bringing it into a different light. Specific tracks With Steve Roach's Involvements are:
2. Outside
6. 2600 A.D. and
7. Sequential Meditation

The monotonal, fast paced bass chords & synthesizers on the opening track, make it sound like it should be used in b-grade action films, where car chases are occuring in an unbelievable manner... But appart from that Its a high energy filled, Stunning, revitalizing, And meditative set of tracks...

If this was released in 1976, no one would have thought it unusual. It would have fit right in with the Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze relases of that time. You have your thick analog leads, pulsing arpeggiations, and lush pads all tastefully wrapped together. This release is more upbeat and energetic than Jeff's first one. If you've worn out your copy of Phaedra (again), try this out instead. Modern music made with an eye towards the past.
