Outstanding!!!,
By Christopher M. Turner (Pompano Beach, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Moments of Grace (Hardcover)
Random house dictionary defines a parable as: a short story designed to convey a truth or moral lesson. And that is exactly what Neale Donald Walsch's latest book "Moments of Grace" is all about. It conveys the divine truth given to Neale in the previous installments of the "With God" series, to its readers and truth seekers. Through real life examples, or parables, readers of the "With God" series have submitted accounts of their moments of Grace. Neale continues in the great tradition of Jesus, who often spoke in parables to teach and reinforce his lessons of spiritual mastery. The prevailing wisdom is that many of us understand something new with much more clarity when we don't just hear/read about it, but actually see it. "Moments of Grace" has given me a better grasp on the message Neale has been sending us. Not only does it give us reason to strengthen our faith in the divine, and using the divine, but it shows us by example exactly how. This book shows us that God's Love is with us always, All Ways. Sometimes we need only to wake up to this truth, other times God wakes us up to this truth. I highly recommend that everyone buy and read this book and recommend it to others. I thank Neale, and all those in the book, for having the courage to grace the world with these stories- Moments of Grace!

Walsch writes another gem,

A major theme in Walsch's "Conversations with God" series is the idea that God and humans are in constant contact. The only thing preventing that communication is our unwillingless to listen or our own doubt. Walsch presents interesting stories from real people who believe that they've experienced connection with a force greater than they, one which lovingly directs them to revelations and helps them with crisis and tragedy. Even if you are new to Walsch's books (I strongly recommmend is "Conversations with God" series, Books 1-3), the stories of these every day people stand alone, and confirm that God is always talking, always communicating. Those who listen and trust are blessed with their own Moment of Grace.

There Are No Coincidences!,

Neale Donald Walsch continues to spread God's loving message in another illuminating true-life work. This time he has gathered inspirational letters from real people who share their own experiences with God. A collection of short stories telling how their lives were undeniably touched by God and how they have transformed their lives. Heartwrenching stories that evoke deep feelings of sadness, joy and triumph! I really enjoyed reading about these real-life people. This book confirms my belief that there are no coincidences. We all have Moments of Grace in our lives. God sees fit to touch us all and in hope that we touch others. This is one of those books that has to be shared with loved ones. Give it to someone you love. And I hope it touches you profoundly. I look forward to another edition of Moments of Grace in the future.

Neale has done it again.... with the help of GOD and all of the wonderful people who sent their stories in! He takes the stories and shows how CWG relates to each one. It gave me hope, comfort, and a renewed love of everyone and everything. I recomend this to anyone and everyone, even if you are not familiar with the "With GOD" books.

Moments of Grace,
By Cassandra Barnes "Cassandra" (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Moments of Grace (Hardcover)
Known world-wide for the Conversations with God trilogy, Neale Donald Walsch is back with his eighteenth book, Moments of Grace. Walsch says moments of grace occur "when God intervenes in our lives in very real, very direct, and very visible ways." The intervention usually results in individuals changing the course of their lives. His book is filled with real-life accounts of such moments.Walsch asked people who'd had direct, life-changing experiences with God to contact him. He received an outpouring of stories, from which he selected more than twenty to offer as proof of God's existence. Each story is interwoven with commentaries and reflections based on the rich material in his earlier books. He says that his experiences and those of the people who've sent stories to him teaches us "that God talks to all of us, all of the time." Walsch emphasizes that his purpose is not in forcing anyone to believe a particular thing, but rather to simply encourage people to share their experiences and stories. His goal is to have people "tell each other our innermost truth about God, about ourselves, about spirituality, about life, and about all the higher callings of life." In this way, we can answer for ourselves the important questions about our relationships to the Divine and to each other. He says we don't know far more than we do know, and it's only through openness and the sharing of our experiences that we can find answers that many of us seek. Miracles occur every day in every life. Moments of Grace is designed to help individuals discover those miracles in their own lives. Readers will find themselves accepting the challenge of increasing their "openness to new ideas, to new possibilities, and to new ways of understanding each other and God-and God's many gifts."

Moments of Wonder and Grace,
This review is from: Moments of Grace (Hardcover)
There are moments in everyone's life when they wonder if there is a God and in "Moments of Grace" God touches lives through miraculous events and unforeseen circumstances.
I think God is always trying to talk to us and guide us and the more people talk about their experiences, the more acceptable this form of guidance becomes. I remember being in a situation at the airport on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. We had no idea where we would spend the next few days because a hurricane was about to hit the island. I remember a wonderful woman coming up to us, like an angel. She offered to take us to a hotel, took care of us the entire time, showed us where to get movies and made sure we were safe and had food. I still think she was an angel in disguise. As Neale Donald Walsch says: "Never doubt that God comes to us in answer to our call. Yet always be aware that the Forms of God are multitudinous. And endless." The story of a father hearing a voice tell him to find his daughter shows how God helped a father save his child. This book is emotional and revealing and will appeal to anyone who has wondered about their own experiences and the interconnectedness of life. All my life I've been told that God doesn't speak to us anymore, but this book and my own experiences tell me God "definitely" does still speak to us in various ways. I hear words and see them at the same time and sometimes they make sentences that guide me while I'm making important decisions. I will admit to being a little "skeptical" about my own experience until they started to make absolute sense. If you have ever left your body while sleeping or have experienced a near-death experience, this book helps to shed light on why it happened and how it has happened to others. "Life is eternal. It has no beginning and it has no end. It has only differing expressions at different points on a cycle that never ends. Death is a fiction and does not really exist, although departure from the body does." ~Neale Donald Walsch The stories in this book are from real life and are about real people. The stories were sent in to show that God still works miracles and that he is very alive. The people who tell their stories claim that their lives are filled with "moments of grace" where they experience guidance. Neale Donald Walsch also fills the book with his thoughts and gives advice on how to be happy, how we can be the source of happiness for others and explains how we can be friends with God. In these stories a mother fights to understand why her baby is ill and ends up meeting an angel who tells her that her baby would live. A man in the midst of addictive behavior views his behavior from a different vantage point and instead of ending his life; he magically finds a support group and discovers God's love. You can also share your stories by sending them to the address in the "In Closing..." section of this book. ~The Rebecca Review

Chocolate for the Soul,
By
This review is from: Moments of Grace (Hardcover)
I need not go into a long, laborious diatribe extolling the virtues of this book. It is sweetness, joy, divine inspiration and grace in printed form. If you are downtrodden or melancholy; this book will assuredly assuage those feelings. This book argues, quite convincingly I might add; that God by whatever name is the very best friend you'll ever have. Five stars unabashedly!!!

This review is from: Moments of Grace: When God Touches Our Lives Unexpectedly (Hardcover)
I am a Neale fan and this is another book from him that I like so much.
Unlike other of his CwG series, this is simply a book of touching moments that tells us how God is leading us in our way to the Goal and how ignorant most of us have been to such opportunities. In short, we kept fooling ourselves for too long. You may say those stories are mystified. But could you open yourself to a probability that the stories are really true? And could you also consider that actually you can experience the same; that God is always inviting us to the Kingdom? Do not blindly believe all the words in the book. Open yourself up a bit and see if they were true. By learning of stories of others, you will understand when their moments came and in turn be able to detect yours. |
