I love the Foxtrot books, and this one is just as good as the rest!Highlights of the book are: This book is great, but if you have the 2003 tear-away calendar, there are about five of the same comics in here (that are also on the calendar).

How does he do it?,

Yet another hilarious work by Bill Amend. I started reading his strip when Calvin & Hobbes was in its final year, and have been hooked ever since. His strips are original and timeless, and bear multiple re-readings. Whenever I need to unwind from a long day, I pick up one of his collections and lose myself in the world of Foxtrot. Definitely better (and cheaper!) than Scotch, and the jokes likewise get better with age....

ANOTHER GREAT FOXTROT COLLECTION,
This review is from: Your Momma Thinks Square Roots Are Vegetables: A FoxTrot Collection (Paperback)
It seems i am not alone in the opinion that when Bill Watterson ended his run on Calvin & Hobbes that Foxtrot became the defacto new favorite of many comic strip fans and with good reason. Bill Amend has the two qualities that make a great cartoonist: First, a comical yet adept cartooning style and second: a very witty sense of humor. The Fox Family consists of Mom Andy, Dad Roger, sons Peter and Jason, and Daughter Paige. This cast tackles the situations that all families do in funny and often eccentric ways led by the brainy and altogether greedy youngest son Jason.
Foxtrot consistently has some of the best Thanksgiving and Christmas strips every year and I always look forward to those. This is a strip that should be turned into a TV show! It's far superior to the lame "Family Guy".

More of Roger, Andy, Jason, Peter, Paige, and Quincy!,

Bill Amend continues to rock and roll with the Fox family and their friends. In this collection, Paige starts high school, Eileen and Jason spar with Harry Potter versus LOTR, and Peter gets the haircut of his dreams... literally.
Here are a few samples: [Peter talking to mother Andy] Peter - "Mom, we ARE having turkey for Thanksgiving, right?" Andy - "You've asked me that four times now, Peter." Peter - "I know, but sometimes you go all tofu-happy, and I just want to be sure you aren't planning to serve us some gross and disgusting veggie meal instead." Andy - "No, Peter, you'll be eating a real, honest-to-goodness dead turkey this Thursday. Its head chopped off, its blood drained out, its feathers yanked off, its organs pulled out, its cooked flesh cut and picked from its bones and put on our dinner table, all for the benefit of your little taste buds. No, sirree, there'll be nothing 'gross and disgusting' served in THIS house." Peter - "Woohoo! Thanks!" Andy - "Why do I even bother with sarcasm" (p. 51)? and Peter - "Mom read some report that said kids who watched over an hour of TV a day were more prone to violent behavior. Now she's going to make us all cut way back on how much we see. I swear, I could strangle whoever wrote that report." Jason - "Heck, I'd pummel, maim, and THEN strangle" (p. 125). Too close to home! Enjoy.

POSSIBLY THE BEST COMIC STRIP SINCE CALVIN AND HOBBES,
By A Customer
This review is from: Your Momma Thinks Square Roots Are Vegetables: A FoxTrot Collection (Paperback)
This strip is very, very funny. I agree with almost everyone about the strip on page 103 it's sooo funny, but you have to read it to find out what it's about. This comic strip has a perfect set of chaotic charachters, and it's definitely worth reading. I have already converted 3 people at my High School into Foxtrot fans because it's really funny. There are larger collections if you are just getting started reading foxtrot i'd recommend that but if you have the books, then this one's definitely worth buying too.

For many years now I have read foxtrot. I have read it every day and I still do. This is a must have. They are all so funny and some just too funny for words. So just don't sit there reading reviews, go and order this book.

This book you must read,
By A Customer
This review is from: Your Momma Thinks Square Roots Are Vegetables: A FoxTrot Collection (Paperback)
What i mean you must read this book is that you have to. I love the one that Peter was in his mom's car and call Denise on his cellphone and talk to her what he was not going to do that he was going to do and he was going to have a party on the weekend his mom and dad is out of town. He ask "how's that sould?" his mom was on the phone she said not so good son. Then Peter come home and Jason said "oh,Dear. Did someone reprogram your speed-dail list again?" My other favoret one is Andy took an allergy decongestant and it turned her into a brain-dead zombie.
