I have one little boy who is 16 months and I have found this book to be a wonderful resource for the many toddler related questions that come up on a daily basis. The author writes in a clear and concise manner and really hones in on the questions I care about. Most of the baby books out there take a lot of space to say very little so this book was wonderfully refreshing and the most useful of the bunch. It is by far the best baby/toddler book I have read - and I have read a lot of them.

What belongs in a diaper bag? What is the best way to let other children be affectionate towards your new baby? How do you hydrate a vomiting baby? Dr. Tanya's tips answer these questions and many more. Mommy Calls is a gift to parents and doctors alike, with quick access to the most common concerns arise with young children. The only advice Dr. Tanya left out is to make sure you have an extra copy of Mommy Calls to pack in that diaper bag!

As a first time mother I have made a point to find the best resources when it comes to carring for my daughter. A friend told me about Dr. Tanya's book THE WONDER YEARS which has been so informative to me. Then I happened to see her on The Today Show so I couldn't help but get her most recent book MOMMY CALLS. I consider these books my all in one resource for child rearing!

My friend bought me this book as a gift for my shower and I started using it as soon as we came home from the hospital. I am so grateful to my friend for getting me this book. It's such a great find. I totally recommend it to anyone having a baby! Thanks Dr. Tanya!

I work in the medical field, and with my current employment I am required to take "Mommy Calls." I found this book helpful for not only parents but me as well. It addresses issues that are not explained during medical training (ie. "normal" stooling habits of babies, and tips/tricks on breast-feeding) in ways that are easy to explain to parents. I would highly recommend this to anyone on the provider end of "Mommy Calls," especially at 4am when it is really hard to think clearly and you need to triage a patient over the phone.

I have read this book cover to cover at least 2-3 times now. I have two children. I initially purchased this book after our pediatrician recommended it. I was 8 months pregnant in 2009. I read it before my first was born, and I referred to it VERY often after she was born. This is such a great book, and it has wonderful tips from Dr. Tanya. I love the breakdown of this book; it covers common symptoms, ailments, and illness from newborn to toddler. I actually love this book so much that I give it as a gift to EVERY new mother that I know. It is a stellar read, and I HIGHLY recommend especially to new moms, and moms that have had a few years gap in between babies. My son was born just last year, and I didn't have to refer to it as often, but I kept it on my nightstand just in case. This was my go to read whenever my children were symptomatic. I rarely ever called the nurse's line, and it would often help me to determine whether or not I should take my son or daughter to the doctor as well depending on the severity of symptoms. This book was fantastic in helping me to understand my little one's body and symptoms and helping me make conscious decisions regarding care and health. Great read!

I highly recommend "Mommy Calls". It is exteremely user friendly, answers so many of the questions that parents have, making it very practical. I often work with new parents in my role as a psychologist, and I feel very confident recommending "Mommy Calls" to them because I trust the information shared here by Dr. Tanya.
