Perfect for a book club read!,
By
This review is from: Mommy Confidence: 8 Easy Steps to Reclaiming Balance, Motivation, and Your Inner Diva (Paperback)
This little book is basically a published blog, full of Kimberly's tips on maintaining mommy sanity. The whole time I was reading it, I was thinking how it would be a great a book club choice. It is a very quick read and would be fabulous to insight a bit of conversation and debate on motherhood. She talks about some of the problems mom's deal from judgmental peers to dealing with body after baby. I would be a perfect gift for the overwhelmed mom who needs a bit of clarity in her life.

This review is from: Mommy Confidence: 8 Easy Steps to Reclaiming Balance, Motivation, and Your Inner Diva (Paperback)
I recently picked up the book "Mommy Confidence" by Kimberley Clayton Blaine. This quick read shares "8 Easy Steps to Reclaiming Balance, Motivation, and Your Inner Diva" Kimberley (aka The Go-To Mom) is not only a funny writer, she is very easy to relate to and offers advice without judgment. Her tips on everything from making life wish lists to "workin' it" in a swimsuit are great ideas for bringing a little more confidence back into the life of a busy mom.
Like any mom, I have my good days and my not-so-good days. Today just happens to be one of those not-so-good days where my confidence could use a little re-boot. Reading Mommy Confidence is a great reminder to cut myself some slack. It's all about finding balance...something I continue to work on each and every day. Mommy Confidence is a fun little read for any mom and be sure to also check out The Go-To Mom TV.

This book could easily have the title "The Mommy Confidence Primer",

The book deserves 5 stars, but given that it already has a few 5 star reviews, I wanted to break from the pack to provide variance.
Mommy Confidence is a quick, yet integral read, for any mom feeling as if they are falling short and forgetting themselves. This small book really provides a surprisingly big burst of confidence packed into it's 53 pages. You can read this book in no time at all, while reaping the benefits of what is found written inside for years to come! I'm so happy to move over and make space on the Motherhood book shelf for Blain and her new book and I am highly complimented to have our own book cited within it's cover. Congrats KCB, you're going to help many moms exude their confidence and reflect upon their own inner diva, which will no doubt, benefit their relationships with their co-parent, children and friends!

Excellent choice for nonjudgmental read,

Mommy Confidence was very non-judgmental. Its a short book, easy to read in one sitting (I bet she planned that carefully, lol!), and the stand out message for me was there is no WRONG way to be a mom. If you have a kid that sleeps in your bed, who cares. If you go to work or stay at home...doesn't matter. With so many moms either on the defensive or war path about their choices, Kimberley proudly makes you feel like your right-no matter what choice you choose."

I love how Kimberley succinctly put into words what it took for me to overcome Postpartum Depression...let alone everyday parenting struggles! We are cut from the same cloth, although, not when it comes to physical attributes ;) Kimberley...thank you for sharing so much of yourself in your book ~ your sense of humour and insight is empowering and definitely a "must read" for every Mommmy!
Also, reading this beautiful gift in a small package made me realize even more how our children enable us to see who we really are...let's keep moving forward, shall we! Much success and can't wait for your next book!! Elita

I was really encouraged by Step 3: Make Life Happen Now. Stop Postponing Your Dreams.
As a work at home mom, both business owner and manager, I am learning to follow my dreams while still being the best mom I can be. A short read, but I found that helpful as I was able to finish it in one sitting!!! That's what this busy mommy needs... short and sweet!

Mommy Confidence is a must for mom's everywhere! I read this book in one sitting, it's concise but chalk full of important information and tried and true experience. Kimberley Clayton Blaine has a writing style that keeps you engaged with wit and humor, but is backed with knowledge that you can trust. Her 8 Easy Steps empowered me and gave me an inner confidence I didn't know I had. This mommy manual should be sent home with all mom's following childbirth!

Found this delightful book and bought it a few weeks back. Last weekend, I treated myself to a bubble bath and relaxed while I read this smart, funny book on reclaiming my inner diva. As a mom, it is hard to remember to take care of myself first, without feeling guilty, but now the guilt is lighter as I have more confidence in being first, being balanced and rejuvenated.
If you are like most moms I know, you don't have a whole lotta time on your hands, but you can take a nice bubble bath and read this short book and reclaim your inner diva!!

Finally, a book that says all the things we have been thinking and feeling about Mommyhood! Kimberley, your book rocks! I have always compared myself to other Mom's, and as a working Mom I sometimes feel a lot of guilt. But Mommy Confidence points out that there is not just one kind of Mom. That it's alright to work, or alright to stay at home... just as long as you have balance in your life you can be the best Mom to your kids as long as YOU are happy in whatever role you choose. Great book!!
