This is one of the first books I read to my baby because it was so interactive and fun. Each page shows the sweet way that mommy animals hug their babies, for example: mommy cat hugs her kitten with a nuzzle. Of course, then you can act each "hug" out with your child (that's the fun part). The illistrations are simple and sweet as well.

My son loves this book, as well as the companion, Daddy Kisses. The two together would make a great gift.

This was one of our baby's first books. It's short enough to hold a baby's attention, and is a fun way to introduce babies to animals and their babies. The pictures are bright, simple, sweet and fun without being too cluttered or loud. We loved Daddy Hugs as well!

There is nothing like the hug of a mother, be she a parrot, polar bear or a human. Mommy Hugs, the book, is as great as mommy's hugs.

We read this book at bedtime. My 2 1/2 year old points out the Mommy & herself and/or her little sister. We now do each type of hug as we read it. Wonderful way to interact as we end our day & say goodnight.

The books in this series are wonderful. Originally I bought them for my daughter simply because I loved the illustrations, but they are much more. My daughter now knows the names of so many baby animals, and it goes beyond the basics, such as "puppy" and "kitten". The story is as basic as can be and that is part of the beauty of the book. The ending with "my mommy hugs me" always delighted my child. She is six now and rarely looks at the books, but we are already reading them to her one year old sister.

What Mom doesn't love an excuse to hug on her kids? My kids love all the different ways the animals show affection.

This is a great bed time book for my 2 year old. She loves the hugs! We also have the companion book, Daddy Kisses.

Good book. Good for younger children. Not a lot of words, so older children may get bored.

We love these books! They are really cute board books. Our child loves them too and wants to read them again and again.

Perfect for toddlers! My grandson loved it, and came back to it over and over. The illustrations and language are delightful. A treat to share with your young child.
