As a new mother to a three month old NOTHING could have prepared me for the joys & challenges of motherhood. After I received my copy of Mommy Magic I could not put it down!! It made me feel so good about myself as a women & mother. It reminded me that I am not in this alone & to enjoy the adventure! The chapter reminding us that motherhood is a marathon & not a sprint is the TRUEST statement I have ever heard!! It's my new mantra! This book is a MUST if you want to hear REAL women share their stories that will make you laugh out loud! BRAVO!

I am now a Grandmother and wish books like this had been around when I had young children. It is refreshing and hits the nail on the head.This author understands chldren and motherhood.
And Ms. Smith with her one star.... I loved the book and I have a advance college degree. I think this is for a person that wants to be the best mother and person and probably strives to do so. So, if you are a mother that wants to learn and live with joy in your heart pick up this book for a fun, fast read,

I LOVED this book! The author does a great job of tapping into "every day life", and helping us all to find the humor and perspective that surrounds every moment. Mommy Magic has become my favorite gift to give my friends who are Moms......it's the perfect way to remind every Mom about the importance of celebrating yourself, and taking time to embrace the joys of life, as a Mom and as a woman. This is a MUST MUST MUST READ. For all you Mother's who thought you were losing it, this is a delightfully charming and entertaining perspective on motherhood with real stories from Moms just like you and I. The author has an amazing WIT that captures you. I have gifted this to many friends who have RAVED about it as well. Thank you for creating a book that captures theTRUE ESSENCE of being a mom in today's crazy world.

I don't know if I'm the only one who felt this way, but the first few weeks I was home with my son I felt so isolated. Home from work for the first extended period in my adult life, my husband at work during the day, my friends were all at work ... I quite literally didn't know what to do with myself. I figured it out obviously, and my (now 3 1/2 year old son got into quite an enjoyable routine) ...but even now, back at work and struggling to keep a house, career and marriage on the right track - as well as raise a happy, healthy son ... we'll that's isolating in a whole different way!

Mommy Magic incorporates the author's own personal perspective and humor (without being snarky or negative, like so many other sites and books geared at moms) and other mom's (who, range in experience and include working, SAHM, single, and married) who share their own unique experiences.

I'll be honest - I often find books about "shared experience" to be cliche - Mommy Magic was not. I appreciated the author's perceived genuineness and thoughtfulness - you might not agree with her, but I can't imagine aruing with her intent to bring a little bit of joy and humor into the lives of other moms on a similar journey.

A fun read - and a SMOKIN' Deal - I just wish I could get it on my Kindle :-)

There is something in Mommy Magic to which each and every mom can relate. If you have had kids, no matter their ages, you will recognize yourself amongst the pages. Sometimes, just knowing that you are not alone in this gig called motherhood is what has us hanging on to our sanity!

Not only was this book so easy to read, but very informative, funny and hit close to home! I would love to see volume 2
