Where do I start? I took a chance ordering this one as it is brand new on the market and I couldn't find any reviews on it yet anywhere. However, the horn in it that's supposed to keep baby from slipping under really appealed to me, because my 9-month-old son has recently developed a fear of the water after flailing and slipping under the water once about a month ago. My husband was right there to catch him, but it was a scary enough experience for him that he now screams whenever we put him in the tub. I thought the smaller tub with the horn in it would help him to feel more secure. He still screams as soon as he hears the water running, so it didn't work. But that's beside the point. The first time I put my son in this thing, I noticed that the part where you put the baby so the horn holds him in place is entirely too narrow for any baby who is old enough to be sitting up unsupported. Especially boys! The horn was squishing him! I mean like not all of him would fit behind the stupid thing, and my son is just an average sized baby! I actually wound up moving him around to the other side of it because he looked so uncomfortable! It rendered the horn completely useless, as it wasn't even touching him at that point. We've now been using this thing for a week, and I can tell you that it's a piece of junk. I can't speak to durability yet, but the thing will NOT stay inflated. The covers on all the valves are too loose or something, because they keep popping open. My husband had to stick tape on half of them to keep them closed just long enough for my son to take a five minute bath in it. Also, if you are wondering, as I did, whether or not it has some sort of hook or suction cup on it to hang it up with or to secure it to the bottom of the tub, it doesn't.Read more ›

I was so very excited to get this product bc it seemed perfect for my daughter. Although a few of the reviews weren't the best, many ppl seemed happy with the product and I am more of an optimist, so figured it would be great. As soon as I received this tub, I got it out and started blowing it up bc I was so excited to use it that night. WELL, as soon as I got in inflated, I tried to close the valve but it WOULD NOT stay in and kept popping right out and releasing all of the air. I kept trying and it was no use, it just popped right out every single time. It was as if the plug wasn't large enough to 'cork' the opening, so it just popped out and air escaped. I tried the other to valves and the SAME thing happened to them! I even tried putting duck tape over the valves and it worked for a little bit until I was putting a bit of pressure on the other valve trying to get it closed and so the taped one started leaking too. I was so disappointed and so frustrated that I had wasted all that time blowing up the darn thing. Well, I looked online and found the "Mommy's Helper" customer service number and contacted them. To my surprise, they were so rude and not at all helpful. She just kept saying "well, I don't know what you want me to do!?!" "you should contact amazon bc u got it from them" It was so frustrating.. Anyways, I sent this item back, which is frustrating bc I was really looking forward to using it..

I have a boy and I've used this tub since he was 9 months old. The "squishing" isn't really that big a deal. it doesn't bother him at all. When he got too big to fit in the narrower portion , we just moved him to the other side of the horn. It works great as a buffer in our large jacuzzi tub as he feels more secure in it and we also use less water to fill the tub for him to splash in.

It is easy to clean and inflate. It takes me a couple minutes to inflate manually and the seal holds pretty well.

It is easy to deflate and stores compactly. I took it with me to travel and it fit compactly in my suitcase.

We used this at the beach. Since sand always lands in the shower I didn't want to clean it out every night to give my infant a bath. It worked well. She was 3 months old so she was able to steady herself while I washed her.

We live in a small apartment with our son and have no room for an infant tub. We bathed him in the bathroom sink until he was about 3 months old and then planned to transition him to the big bathtub using a Leachco Safer Bather Infant Bath Pad, Blue Fish. That was a huge failure. We bought this tub when he was about 4 months old and have been using it daily for about a year now. It is great. The other reviews here capture most of the main points, so building on those:

- I have a boy who is typically in the 90th percentile for height and weight. That said, we've had no problem with the horn being too tight at the crotch as another reviewer mentioned. It definitely touches him, but it's no more pressure/pushing than a wet diaper would.

- This is not something you want to blow up/deflate on a daily basis. It collapses easily for trips and is great for travel. But when you are at home, you won't want to go through the time it takes to blow up/deflate on a daily basis. If that's your goal, I do not recommend this tub.

- We have a very tiny bathroom (no more than 50 sq feet) and can fit this in the small space between the tub and sink. This thing is great for city parents living in small spaces.

- After about 4 or 5 months of use, it developed a slow leak. At first, it only needed to be topped off about once a week. Now, at the one year mark, it needs a quick puff of air almost every night. This would be annoying to me if it came out of the box that way, but since this thing cost me less than $15 and I've had it for a year, I think it's to be expected. Topping it off only takes a minute.
