WOW Great Family Calendar,
By
This review is from: Mom's Family Calendar 2007 (Wall Calendar) (Calendar)
My fifth year buying the Boynton Mom's Family Calendar and I can't believe they actually improved on perfection. This year they added stickers and a Mom's Family Phone List. Let me start with the calendar. Every month has everyday sectioned off for up to five family members. I have a space for everyone in the family and then since I have four members, I block one off for the whole family. This space is for functions that the whole family needs to attend and is also great for birthday reminders. Okay that was the perfect calendar, but now they have added cute stickers that are also very functional. They call attention to appointments like "Birthday, Welcome Home, Dentist, Haircut, Practice, etc." That helps call attention to the calendar, especially for kids and some adults who don't look as often as they should ;). Also included is the Mom's Family Phone List which has magnets on the back and on the front has sections labled "Medical; Family Contacts; Maintenance; Friends, Neighbors, Etc.; Child Care; and Useful Numbers (which are misc.". In these sections there are listings for numbers in that category. As a new working mom and full-time student this phone list is as invaluable as the calendar. I highly recommend this calendar.
By the way, any way of giving more than five stars?!?

I love this calendar! I've used it every year for the past five years and it's helped keep track of our appointments, days off, school projects due, etc. The new stickers included this year were a nice touch, although my daughter took them to decorate her school notebooks.
My only complaint is that the boxes are too small to fit multiple appointments/reminders in one day. A pocket to hold invitations and other reminders would also help.

Awesome calendar for the busy mom!,

I have been using this calendar since 1999, and I wouldn't use any other! The 5 vertical collumns are great for putting each family members name and even pets if needed. Our family has no problem knowing who is doing what because they just look under their name. I print small labels for the names when I first get my calendar, letting each person choose their own font, and this deters having to WRITE their name each time. What a time saver!

I love this calendar! Sandra Boynton and her wacky characters have kept our family organized for several years now. There is plenty of space to write activities and everyone gets a column. We keep this calendar on the fridge next to a magnetic pen holder full of sharpies. It is a wonderful system.

We originally got one of these because my wife likes Sandra Boynton, and then immediately bought another for a relative--it's that useful, and it is now difficult to remember how we survived without it.
The column for each person shows our own commitments (read: busy-ness) at a glance, and the horizontal row per day lets us see how our schedules sort out (or conflict!). I cannot recommend this too highly, even for someone living alone--you could use one column for each "area" of life.

Organizer for a non-organized mom!,

This calendar works perfectly for our family of five. It is limited to three children, so obviously wouldn't work for bigger families, unless you had a one parent family and just crossed through Mom or Dad and put a kid's name. I LOVE to be able to visually glance at the calendar each day and see which one of my triplet teens goes where and when! I can't say enough good things about this calendar. Since discovering it, I've bought it three years in a row. Anything to help with organizing in my house is a plus and this calendar does that. Plus it's cute!

THE best calendar for families with more than one child,

Ok, so I now have my NINETH Family Calendar hanging on the side of the fridge... I've been using them since my younger child was two... and I absolutely could not keep everyone in the family straight without it. It's even better now that my kids are old enough to know to look at their columns to find out what's up for them. I keep a mug of fine Sharpies on top of the fridge to write on it. Woe to anyone who touches Mom's pens without permission!! Love the new stickers... so cute. It's been VERY fun to keep the old ones and be able to look back at who did what when, going back to before preschool! Honestly, my only complaint is that now that the calendar is 18 months, it's much heavier and bulkier. I don't use the first six months of the calendar; I just clip the new year's under the old year until January. Kind of a waste for those of us who are repeat offenders.

I love this calendar more than any I've ever had. It takes some getting used to at first because you read the calendar vertically rather than horizontally. But other than that, it's perfect in every way. The stickers are really cute and add some pizazz to my scribbly mess. My life stays organized at a glance. It the first thing I look at when I come down to the kitchen in the morning.
I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a easy way to get your family organized.

I LOVE this calendar. It is the first Christmas present my husband buys me each year for the past, I don't know, six years? When did they come out with it? But for the last year or two they decided to run it from September thru December (16 months). I already have a calendar from the previous year which runs through Dec. I end up cutting out September thru December of the previous year. If you want to run it for the school year, then make it run from August through July. And have new ones available in June. Or make the January through December one available also.
