We get one of these calendars every year! Why?

1) The format is great for keeping track of who is doing what, where, when, and with whom. This is CRUCIAL in our family of six. Unfortunately, the calendar only has five columns, but it's enough and we make it work.

2) We had a "Simpsons" calendar like this once, and it was fine, but the Boynton one is more fun. The backgrounds, colors, and themes change for every month, keeping it from getting boring.

3) We love the stickers! There are word stickers to highlight special events ("vacation", "school event", "big game", etc.), as well as funny Boynton animal stickers just for fun.

and 4) the POCKET. This one has a pocket that hangs at the bottom for extra stuff, papers and such ("$100 bills" it helpfully -- haha -- suggests!). This is truly a brilliant improvement.

It was at first a little difficult to get used to the format of not having each day down a column, and that can make it tedious to add events / activities that happen, say, every Tuesday. But, oh well. We love this calendar, and our family coordinates much more smoothly because of it.

No obvious improvements from the 2009 version, but that's fine. It's a 17-month calendar, August 2009 to December 2010, so we have the rest of this year to transition from our 2009 to the new 2010 calendar.

Five stars - and we'll buy it again for 2011!

This is the 4th year that I have had this calendar. I have 4 children and this is by far the best way to see what is going on in everybody's life. It's easy to see when days start to look busy or when you are trying to figure out if you can squeeze something in. I plan to use this calendar for years to come.....I only wish there was a 6th column so my husband and I wouldn't have to share a column. I wouldn't mind it being that extra inch wide!

I purchased this calendar last year, and ended up switching to another calendar after a month. I have three children, so the five of us (including hubby) used all five spaces. This made it difficult to add info that applies to the whole family. If the calendar did not have little pictures here and there on the days of the week section, I would use that space to write in a birthday, whole family event, etc. I found the placement of the pictures frustrating and a waste of space. I received this calendar again as a Christmas gift this year so I'm wondering if I should give it another try, but I see the format is the same with graphics taking up much of the space on the "days of the week" section. I think this calendar works best for families of four or less.

I have been purchasing this calendar for at least the past 6 years. I love the space for information for each family member. There is space for five members. I use different colored markers to note paydays, vacations, etc. I have extra space on the sides to note other people's information - birthdays, anniversaries that I might want to send cards out for. This calendar works when I need information on when we took a trip, or when a certain school function took place last year. I am also able to keep track of appts. over the years. It's better than my husband's Palm ever was, and it's accessible to all of us.

I had this calendar last year (2009) and loved it. It took me a while to get this years, and boy did I miss it.

I love being able to see everything the family has going on in one view. We have it hanging in our dining room where can talk over our day while eating. I like the layout and the design is cute.

I highly recommend it for families.

I have been buying this product for over 6 years not and I just love it. I love that each month has 5 rows to help keep your family organized. For us we got a row for Mom (thats me), my son, Noni (grandma), Tigger (the dog) and the last row I use for Birthdays. It just really help keep everyone on track and at a glance you can see everyone schedule so there's not questions on where everyone is at or whats going on. If your family is moderately busy or very busy this will be a great tool and you will just love it. I like all the sticker too for school functions, doctors, vacations, etc....

I've used this calendar for 5+ years. Our family of 5 can keep or busy and different schedules on one calendar, and it's easy to know exactly who will be doing what when. I note when my kids have gym, music, library at school and each morning they check it to see what they need to bring with them. The illustrations are cute, and this is the single most important tool to keep our lives running smoothly.

I have been buying this calendar for so many years that I can't even remember when I first started using it. It's perfect for our family of four. I agree with the other reviewer who said it's a little inconvenient for events that occur weekly, but that's presumably unavoidable in this type of calendar format. It's a small price to pay because this calendar is so useful in just about every other way.

You know the features of this calendar from the description and other reviews; this is just another endorsement. We continue to buy this calendar yearly because it's so practical. The format is what makes it work for us...the vertical alignment of days organized by which family member is doing what. A downside is the slick paper - can't write on it with a pencil.

I REALLY wish someone would make a "plain" calendar in this format. This is adorable & cutesy, but I would buy a plain calendar in a heartbeat. Have been searching for one without success. Let me know if you have seen something that could work!!

I have actually been buying this calendar for a couple years and don't know how to get along without it anymore! The spaces for each person and nice size makes it where I can keep track of everything that everyone is doing. I used to lose track of where we had to be and when but since I started keeping track of everything on Mom's Family Calendar I rarely ever miss an important event or appt. Thank you Sandra Boynton!!
This year I was unable to find the calendar at any of the usual places so I went, where else? AMAZON! Found it in a hot minute and ordered immediately. BTW, Amazon, thank you for gettting it here so quickly!
