I ordered this item hoping for a smaller form of Mom's family planner. I wanted a book form of Mom's family planner that I could easily carry with me in order to track activities.

This is not it. The organization of activities by date and family member is NOT present in this planner.

This is a traditional desk planner, but even more cumbersome than usual. Weekly pages alternate with cute Boynton drawings. If you want a vanilla planner with a lot of Boynton pics and you never need to haul it around, you may like this one - the paper is good quality and the drawings have a lot of white space for note-scrawling.

Just don't believe the name: this is NOT a Mom's Family Planner.

Not just a calendar, in my opinion. Calendars are a staple necessity in my life. Not as much any more as most of my children are grown & gone, but I still have a child in high school and 3 pets. This calendar offers big space for all the notes I need, pockets for receipts, perforated tear off to-do lists and of course those cute stickers just to make things fun.

I have active children that do various sports and after school activities. This planner saves me headaches by reminding me daily what all I need to do. Anyone who has a busy schedule with kids should get one. I carry it with me in my purse every day.

In this age of electronics, it is nice to have something simple and straightforward. For those insistent on using electronic planners, this is a great backup.

I love Sandra Boynton's illustrations! And this desk planner makes me smile every time I use it. It sets on my kitchen counter open for all to see what activities are going on each week. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this as a gift for my mom and she loves it! She only wishes it were a little smaller so it could fit in her purse. :)

I love this calendar - Boynton's whimsical pictures make me smile every time I turn a page. The stickers are great too - I use them on cards and letters as well as on the calendar. It makes a great gift for the Mom's in the family.

I really like the fact that this planner has a column for me and another for the rest of the family. I also love the stickers!!! But it could use more space and some way to mark the current week; right now I'm using a post it note. If they shrank the cartoon, spread out the week over two pages, and had a small tear-out at the edge of each week (maybe a shopping list), it would be perfect.

I previously tried the wall calendar and did not like it for my family, but this desk planner is much more useful to me. Nice size for carrying in a purse or briefcase or just to keep on your desk. Colorful and entertaining drawings on left page and the right pages have blocks for each day's activities. There are some stickers to use for appointments, music lessons, etc. and also tear out lists for groceries and to do lists. Storage pockets in front and back, plus some pages for contacts including dr, dentist, and other quick numbers to have with you. VERY nice for this price. I bought an extra for a gift too--nice gift idea to cheer up anyone.

I purchased the Desk Planner as well as the Family Calendar- just to see which I would prefer to use. With three kids and a busy husband the Desk Planner is definitely the way to go. I would have given it five stars but I think there needs to be even MORE room to write down events. The extra pages in back for lists are very helpful. I highly recommend for a busy family with places to go and people to meet!
