I get this planner every year. I love it. I carry it around with me everywhere. It's about 6" x 9" and fits in my purse.
When it's open you can see a whole week at a time, with plenty of room to write carpool schedules, b-days, appointments, activities, etc., on each day. On the left edge is a grocery list (I don't use the catagories: produce, dairy etc. I just write what I want from stores like Target, Kohl's, grocey store, etc). On the right edge is a "menu" - again I just make my own lists of to-do's and things to remember, or jot down quick notes when things come up. There is also a nice sized "To Do List" on the right page. There are stickers to add color and make certain events and appointments stand out. I use the "Notes" in the back of the book for wish lists, Christmas lists, home decor ideas, info I might need for shopping etc. I love the added pocket in the inside cover for coupons, business cards and loose papers.
I also cover the front with some personal photographs of my family. I get a new planner at the beginning of each school year and save the old ones. Because of all the notes, dooodles, dates, pictures ect. it's kind of a journal for me as well. I have actually gone back to look up dates and times of events, in my past planners. Great for the active mom!!

I own the 2012 version of this planner. I appreciate the grocery lists + meal planning columns. I also appreciate the generous "to do" section that appears each week.

I thought I would miss the "month-at-a-glance" section other planners have, but I do not. I realized how much I hated duplicating my appointments in two different areas. So, that does not bother me. (I also have a wall calendar which I use for that feature.)

The stickers are fun... my children are toddlers, so I imagine if they were older/school-aged, I would use them more.

I appreciate the "bolder" coloring of the inside of the 2013 planner--the darker red/pink combo makes it easier for my eyes to see the dates/days of the week.

The reason for my 4 stars and not 5 is the binding/cover. After a 9 months of use and being carried around in bags, thrown in cars, etc., the covers and spiral binding did not hold up as well as I would hope. Thankfully, the new planner goes to September 2012-December 2013. I would love to see a more durable cover to protect this tool!

If you are looking for a busy mom organizer, this is a great buy!

We have used Mom's Plan-It calendar for the past 8 years... we feel entirely lost without it. Even though the kids are older, they still enjoy getting a chuckle when they see a sticker on their birthday or for family vacations. One is still in High School, so it's great for putting the football schedule on there. We started using the menu side for a Chore Chart. But the thing about this that gets me buying it every year - that I can't part with - is the grocery tear off on the left. No other calendar has this! And the whole family is trained - if they want it - write it on there - or they don't get it. What is also great about this particular calendar, is that the printing is light and understated - so what YOU write takes precedence over any catchy graphics - form other calendars. The spiral binding on this also allows us to keep it open at all times, front and center on the counter, prominently displayed on the recipe book stand. I now buy this for myself and my sister who has little ones... but she's so busy.. I pre-fill it out before giving it to her every year at Christmas.

I've been using a Moms Plan-It for at least 5 years as our main family calendar. I've tried others but this is the best for me. There is room for everyone in my family to have a line in each day, so we can all see who needs to be where and when. The layout is like a normal North American calendar, so there is no confusion as to which day it is. The extra months allow me to have it from the beginning of school in August while still being able to see the end of school in June. This makes planning much easier since many activities run on a "school year" schedule. The stickers are a fun addition to highlight when there is something you don't want to forget. We mostly only use them for birthdays and school picture days, etc, things that don't happen very often. The stickers take up much of the space if you are trying to use them for one person only (say a "practice" sticker) so we mainly use them for things that are of importance to the whole family, and stick it at the top of the day.

We chose this calendar after having the boynton one last year with vertical columns- i wanted the more traditional squares that would be big enough to fit our busy schedule. i love the hanger it comes with that holds the pages up and can easily be slipped out of the lip to look back if needed without moving a thumbtack every time. I gave it 4 stars because the paper it is made of is more shiny, making it tough to write in pencil, and with our schedule, pencil is better. otherwise, i love it!! there are a lot of stickers, too.. but i tend not to use them, they take up space and space is essential to our organization!! you won't be disappointed in this calendar-- i'll be buying another one next year!!

This is my second year buying this and it has been a lifesaver. With my schedules, kids extracurriculars and the husband's overtime, we really needed a big calandar that could fit everything on it. This fit the bill! The stickers save so much space for repetitive tasks like soccer games or appointments, and each family member having their own line is great for keeping times straight if there are multiple games/appointments on one day! My only gripe is that it only has 5 family member lines, I would love to have a sixth for miscellaneous things like vet appointments but really it is not that big of a deal unless you have more than 5 people in your home.

I love this calendar because I can put everyone's activities on one calendar that the whole family can see. We have 4 children with multiple activities and the lines for each member of the family for each day easily helps me see conflicts and sequences to help me coordinate driving and carpools. I know many people have gone to electronic calendars, but I don't find those helpful when many people need to be able to see what's going on at a glance. I also like to keep it on the bulletin board by the phone so when someone calls, we can see at a glance whether the proposed activity fits into our hectic schedule. I recomend it highly!

I have been buying this calendar for a couple of years now and honestly do not know how we got along without it. Even with the smart phones and email reminders, having it 'in writing' on the fridge gives the whole family the best view of what the future holds. A glance at the month is perfect for the numerous dentist appointments now that we have two kids in braces, plus their sports as well as weekend trips. While I love my phone calendar for those times when I'm on the go, having the at-a-glance calendar on the fridge is great when we're all home and can coordinate. Love it!

The only downside I see to this calendar is the limited family members. It only provides for 5 people (But you can use the top, the space where the day # is for a 6th!). I wish they made a big family version! lol. I received this calendar as a gift last year and used it dilgently, first time I'd ever consistently used a calendar, ever! So, right into the new year, I had to buy myself one! Was thrilled to find with Amazon Prime & for under $10!

Though this is a great planner, I thought I was purchasing the calendar. The title of the item specifically said "Calendar" in parentheses next to the product name, but the description sounded like it was for a planner. I decided to give it a try and purchase the "calendar," knowing that I'd be content having the planner.

I just want to warn anyone who thinks they are purchasing the calendar. This item is not it.
