Customer Reviews

A good gift for a working mom.

This organizer helps a mother keep track of both her professional and family commitments in a way that is practical and entertaining at the same time.

I only gave it 1 star because I couldn't give it 0 stars, so I guess the 1 star is because it's pretty.

I really was excited to get this planner and started filling it in right away (the size was GREAT for me b/c all the school papers, etc. fit right in without folding and stuffing). It's just the size of a regular binder. THEN I noticed the two-sided printing was just not done the best way! The backside should be reversed so that when you're flipping through the months you don't have to completely turn the notebook around. Same goes for flipping through the weeks. This would be so much more efficient, and the problem annoyed me so much that I'm having to make my own copies DONE THE RIGHT WAY. I guess you could always order refills, but I would honestly be using one side of the papers. I don't want to have to flip all of them over at the end of the year either -- just want them all in order, flipped appropriately so I can use both sides. Or hey, I don't mind using one side, but they need to give me 52 pages of "weeks" and 12 pages of "months." There are not enough pages as it exists now to use it "one-sided." Most organized types will agree, and if we send them a review, maybe they will fix this =) I'll get on that as soon as I can pencil it in, ha!

I am a busy Mom of 4 children. I really thought this binder/organizer was going to be great, but I am left very disappointed, and wishing I could get my money back. I like the idea of it, but the execution is all wrong. There are pocket folders in each section. Sounds fantastic, but the pocket folders are the same exact size as a piece of paper...but then 3 hole punched to fit it in the binder. Basically, you cannot easily fit a piece of paper in the folders because it isn't large enough. Second, there is a LOT of useless information in here. The organizer is big, bulky and the pages are very hard to turn. I like the size of the calendar, but the website link for refill paper does not work. I took the calendar portion out of it and put it in a smaller binder. Save your money. I only gave it 1 star because I couldn't give it 0 stars, so I guess the 1 star is because it's pretty.

The folder dividers are cute and the perforated list pages are nice. The sticky notes insert is also nice, but the rest of the info is either very general or includes spaces for info that doesn't apply to a average mom on the go. I do not need space for my personal dog walker, house cleaner, laundry service or grocery delivery because all those jobs are mine... If I had those services then I would probably have a home manager, personal assistant or accountant, and wouldn't need to buy a home planner. I just took out the folders, list pages and stickies and then put them into the Life.doc: Your Life Buttoned Up by Alicia Rockmore & Sarah Welch planner that I also purchased and love.

It has a good weekly task/kids activity template, but was hoping there would be more for my personal needs - ie. financial/budgeting section or a long term/short term projects section, a section on break down to do lists etc. Instead it has a whole section on listing birthdays, party planning (which is ok but I don't do a lot of parties)I like the sturdy pockets-there are 4 of them and I do like the cheat sheet idea along with all the stickies. However I probably won't get it again.

This is such a practical and pretty gift--clever and useful and beautifully put together. You can tell that somebody with real life experience thought this through.
What a great shower or new-baby/new-mother gift it would be, lasting well after the stuffed toys and onesies are outgrown. This is not meant to say it's only for brand new moms--it's a great gift for any mother at any stage of motherhood. I wish it had existed when my children were small--but I'm glad it now exists for daughters and daughter-in-laws so their lives can be a little less dizzy.

There are only about SIX months of weekly planner pages (this really frustrated me), one party planning page, and one meal planning page. Those were the most important pages to me. Everything else is pretty useless to our family. The planner is adorable and the pockets are great, but that's as good as it gets.

This is not what I expected and had to open the shrink wrap to find out. A sprial notebook would virtually do the same thing. Save your money.

I should have read other customer reviews before purchasing this product. You can't preview enough of the pages to know what you're getting into. The pages are printed in such a way so that you have to turn the binder around from side to side in order to see the next page. Very awkward and frustrating. The binder is too big to carry around all the time. And 75% of the pages included are not useful. Either templates of forms I don't need, or pages and pages of quotes and advice - which I don't need. I decided to give it a shot though, and have spent HOURS today filling in my family's schedule for the year - only to find out that there are only 6 months of weekly planning pages included!!!! I wanted to scream! I have been working on the calendar all day and now I'm about to throw it out the window. Who in their right mind sells a yearly calendar with only 6 months worth of pages??? And the dates aren't marked. They are generic pages, so you have to fill in all of the dates yourself. The only reason I bought this is because the beloved calendar I used to use every year was only sold at Border's, and they went out of business.
