About the Author
Dr. Lawndia White, with sixteen years of I/T experience, has a proven track record of applying technology to solve business problems. She has spent the last few years traveling the country providing Y2K business solutions and training to some of the most well-known Fortune 500 companies. As a former employee of Viasoft, the leading Year 2000 software corporation, she has worked with Year 2000 remediation teams at American Express, Bank of America, Charles Schwab, MCI, US West, Heinz USA, Alcon Labs, AM South Bank, Michigan Bank, and Citibank.
She served as director of Y2K for The Wilkins Group, Inc., a Dallas telecommunications and consulting firm, and Mir, Fox & Rodriquez, an international auditing and consulting firm. Her formal research training has prepared her to lead corporate research and development efforts, and to effectively evaluate and implement Year 2000 diagnostic tools and processes. She is currently consulting, training, writing, and speaking nationally on Small Business and Personal Y2K Preparedness.
