This story is a very well executed short piece. It's a fast read and does a great job of building up both suspense and eeriness. The central characters is nicely developed in such a short span, and the twist(s) along the way leave the reader with ... well, no spoilers here, but I recommend it highly. Good read!
What an unique story. It was captivating, very entertaining, satisfying, straightforward and extremely Well written. Sherri has a superb talent for holding a reader's attention. I love the entire concept of this story.
Until recently I was a stay at home mom. When I went back to work I decided to try something new: a library. Holy smokes, why didn't I do this a long time ago? All the time I wasted in a sewing factory, Walmart, fast food, (college...) when I could have been working with books the whole time. As a writer you'd think I'd have figured this out before my 42nd year. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
Growing up poor and staying that way taught me how to do things myself. Over the years I've learned how to fix a car, butcher a rabbit, shoot a gun, knit, make soap, trim hair, swing a hammer and wield a saw, (are you still reading?), plumb, publish a book, and other tasks that include inanimate objects. For some reason plants don't like me. My yard will attest to that. Ergo, I've never learned to garden.
Another thing you might never need to know about me is that I can't tolerate strong perfume or air freshener. I've told everyone I know, if I had to choose between smelling natural B.O. and perfumed deodorant, I'd choose the B.O. 90% of the time. And now I've told you.
