I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I began reading this short story. It entertained me and left me wanting more. I look forward to this author's next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story, Great Ending August 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This story is a very well executed short piece. It's a fast read and does a great job of building up both suspense and eeriness. The central characters is nicely developed in such a short span, and the twist(s) along the way leave the reader with ... well, no spoilers here, but I recommend it highly. Good read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story! July 21, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is one of the best short stories I've read in quite a while. It's just the right amount of creepy and suspense. The twist at the end is very thought provoking.

More About the Author

Until recently I was a stay at home mom. When I went back to work I decided to try something new: a library. Holy smokes, why didn't I do this a long time ago? All the time I wasted in a sewing factory, Walmart, fast food, (college...) when I could have been working with books the whole time. As a writer you'd think I'd have figured this out before my 42nd year. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Growing up poor and staying that way taught me how to do things myself. Over the years I've learned how to fix a car, butcher a rabbit, shoot a gun, knit, make soap, trim hair, swing a hammer and wield a saw, (are you still reading?), plumb, publish a book, and other tasks that include inanimate objects. For some reason plants don't like me. My yard will attest to that. Ergo, I've never learned to garden.

Another thing you might never need to know about me is that I can't tolerate strong perfume or air freshener. I've told everyone I know, if I had to choose between smelling natural B.O. and perfumed deodorant, I'd choose the B.O. 90% of the time. And now I've told you.
