Book Description

This short story is a hilarious, and true account of a weekend spent at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2011. Getting lost walking the dogs at 3am in the morning, drinking until the early hours in the Budda Bar, waking up in a strange French girl's apartment, nearly getting shot by the Monaco Secret Service, being rescued by the Pompiers after getting stuck in the lift at 2am, you just couldn't make this up!

More About the Author

My name is Cameron Thompson, I'm in my early 50's and I live in South East England with my wife and three children & three cats!

I have tended to write so far true short stories about my life, either growing up, or usually hilarious things that have happened to me over the years.

'Growing up in the 70's' is a collection of humourous stories about me growing up

'A weekend at the Monaco Grand Prix' is a hilarious account of a weekend spent with freinds at the Monaco Grand Prix

'The fishing trip that never was' Is my true account of a very weird fishing trip that nearly ended in disaster!

My writing style is heavily influenced by my favourite all time Author Ernest Hemmingway! I don't tend to go for flowery descriptions, however I like to write the story so you are gripped and feel like you actually lived the experience yourself

Most of my stories are real life true stories, told in a hilarious manner. They are great for reading in say a train journey. The only fictional story I have written so far is 'A weekend in Heaven' which is basically my idea of what Heaven is going to be like ie Amazingly fun.

I hope you enjoy reading these stories. They say 'truth is stranger than fiction' Sometimes things happen in life, that you just can't make up.
