5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Scope
I bought this scope for my RRA AR15 Varmint 20" barrel and the Armalite EX0027 scope mount, they fit perfectly for the AR. The scope is very clear and bright. In addition, it has side focus adjustment which allows you to focus on targets beyond couple hunderd yards. I paid $358 for this scope so I think it was a good deal.

3.0 out of 5 stars Faint Recticle
This is my second Nikon Rifle Scope. Light transmission is great. My only problem is that the recticle is too thin and can be hard to see where the crosshairs actually cross. The little circles for the BDC are also hard to see (assuming my eyes are good :). I would probably go with the Nikoplex recticle like on my first Nikon Scope which I would give 5 stars.

Took my first hog with this scope about 275 yards out. It holds up pretty well so far. I Would definitely buy another one if I have another rifle to mount it on.

Good scope, Clear optics.
The reticle is a little too thick and covers a bit too much of the target at distance, but you can't beat the BDC for distance judgement. Get a good range finder, go to Spot On (Nikons ballistics calculator online) and you should get some long one shot hits.

I put this on my .30-06 hunting rifle used primarily for deer. It replaced an old Tasco that was getting a little hazy in low light situations. I have not hunted with the new scope yet, but the scope is crystal clear and it received high reviews in the Outdoor Life bullet drop compensating scope review. I'm looking forward to the coming season and will try to remember to update the review as season goes on.
