5.0 out of 5 stars great scope
Very nice scope. I got this for my DPMS LR-308 and I love it.. Was packaged very nice. Its comparable to a Leupold mark 4 with out the 1,000$ price tag.. Crystal clear all the way up to the 32 power zoom. I would, and have recommended this scope to a friend. And you cant lose with the Lifetime warranty either..

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not great.
Had a hard time attaching this scope. The windage and elevation adjustments were difficult and limited in there range. I thought I had a mis aligned scope, but did some research and found that others were having the same problem with this scope, just not enough range in the available adjustments. using the nikon m223 mount also.. I eventually just pushed on the scope...

So far it's a pretty nice scope. I've got it mounted on a Remington 700 short barrel .223. I spend most of my time with it at 200 or 300 yards, haven't had a chance to take it varminting yet.

At 200 yards it's a great target shooter, 300 or more I have to use shoot-n-c targets or pull out the spotting scope (those .223 holes are pretty small, might be a bit easier with a larger caliber).

It's held zero just fine over about 1500 rounds and a little bit of rough treatment. I'd recommend it.

Had a hard time attaching this scope. The windage and elevation adjustments were difficult and limited in there range. I thought I had a mis aligned scope, but did some research and found that others were having the same problem with this scope, just not enough range in the available adjustments. using the nikon m223 mount also.. I eventually just pushed on the scope while tightening the screws for the mount. I would have preferred the mount to sit squarely and snuggly to the rail and the scope to adjust.. I think I might switch to some basic ring mounts and see if those align everything better. It looks very nice on the rifle. the eye relief was very good for this higher magnification scope. The light capture is very sensitive so you have to be very aware from where you are shooting whether to use the shade that comes with it or not. Good scope for the money, but I was expecting a little better from nikon. My nikon prostaff is as good as this one, and it is supposedly in a 'lower' class.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long Range Scope!, October 26, 2010

Having recently purchased this scope I have not had it out on a hunt as of yet. But I have had it out late in the evening and it seems to collect good lighting from 8 thru 32 magnification. The optics are very clear and the BDC reticle looks great. However if your target is within 100 yards I would recommend the Nikon 5-20 or the 6-24. This scope's magnification is to much for anything within 100 yards. If you are shooting long distances this is your scope. You would have to pay well over $1000.00 for a scope of equal quality!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good scope great price, November 27, 2011
This review is from: Monarch Riflescope 8-32x50ED SF Matte BDC (Sports)
Bought this scope about 2 years. mounted it on a Remington 700 VTR .223 Initially had trouble sighting in, ran out of adjustments. Had to purchase 20 MOA scope bases. Problem solved. Have had great success with it. Only complaint is that the cross hair lines are quite thick. thought they would be fine lines. They can hide targets and cause me to be zoomed in farther than I would like too. never have had fogging or losing zero problems. Probably over kill for a .223. I would suggest finer crosshairs if your planing on mounting on a .308 or larger caliber rounds. I suggest this because shots beyond 500 yrds become a slight hassle when guessing where targets are behind black lines. Maybe if your shooting large game no big deal. but these are the limitations ive ran into partly because of caliber, partly because i like to keep groups around 6 inches or less at these distances.

I'm an average shooter, Years of shooting, So when I purchase a part. I want dam near the best I can afford. I have a friend that has the Nikon line of lens for a camera, WOW are they clear. I figured if that's what he get's from a camera, I can only trust that the same High quality would be in the glass for the scopes.

Hands down they are clear as air ! I read a bunch on the different scopes, I just wanted a scope that I could use at 8X and if needed, it would be able to look out at 32X.. It's nice to have and not wish you had!

If you have a good rifle and want to have a scope that will handle anything, just buy it. Always remember, it always iron sight then glass. Don't spend what you don't have! Any questions email me TheMachinewon@hotmail.com

2.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Leupold, October 23, 2010
This review is from: Monarch Riflescope 8-32x50ED SF Matte BDC (Sports)
The reticle in this scope is HUGE, and useless for long range shooting. The extra money spent for the Leupold is worth it. This scope is clear through most of the range but blurs out at the higher power. A call to Nikon was responded to with "That scope is within manufacturers specs. Return it to the retailer if you don't like it." I have ten or more Nikon products and will not purchase another.
