If you are a top salesperson or very outgoing this book will be good reading, but if you are one of these you probably don't need it. If you are the slightest bit shy, you will have difficulty.

Diana Z. from Colorado--Due to downsizing I was forced to reevaluate my job situation. I decided to pursue a different field. I spent an afternoon looking through all the career guide books and one chapter of Can You Start Monday? hooked me. The book was invaluable in helping me plan my job search and prepare for the interview process. The 9-Step plan was easy to understand and very practical! Plus, you can't beat the price! By following the book's plan I felt my interviews were much more positive and I felt more confident. Also, Can You Start Monday? helped me to understand what to expect in interviews and how to react to difficult questions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read, common sense, professional approach., November 19, 2000

This review is from: Can You Start Monday? A 9-Step Job Search Guide...Resume to Interview (Paperback)
This was a letter sent to the Author. Dear Ms. Cage I just finished reading your book Can You Start Monday? It was the most informative book I have ever read about the job search. I have attended many interviews over the past ten years and at the majority of them I felt very anxious and apprehensive. Now, I finally realize that being very prepared and having a good attitude are essentially the keys to feeling confident about myself and my abilities. I always felt uncomfortable "bragging" about my education and skills. I now realize that confidently speaking about myself is a sign of healthy confidence. Your book covered every aspect of the interview process in an easy to ready, common sense, professional approach. I am writing to let you know how much I enjoyed your book.

"I especially appreciate Cheryl Cage's step-by-step advice on creating 'stories' about work experience. Too many job-seekers overlook the importance of demonstrating their accomplishments with anecdotes about problems and projects."
