Ursula 1000 is without a doubt one of my favorite artists. I cannot count how many times I've recommended his album Kinda Kinky and everyone who gets it always thanks me for introducing them to such a unique talent. Mondo Beyondo is more of the kinky beats that has made Ursula a leader in the Lounge genre, but this time it's even funkier and groovier than ever before. Every song has so much pop and pizazz, it makes you want to move. I call it my Dish Washing soundtrack because listening to this literally transforms your home to a ritzy dance floor, turning household chores into an exciting song and dance routine.

Every song is fantastic and produced with the highest quality. The beats are incredibly hi-fi, the whole CD sounds like its playing in ultra-high definition. Over surround sound speakers, it's phenomenal. There are few albums that I can listen to from beginning to end without wanting to skip a track or two, but this is one where you can literally push play and not have to worry anymore. If I had to pick a favorite song it would probably be "Graveyard Stomp" followed closely by "Repetez Le Repertoire" and "Mondo Beyondo" but the way they all blend into each other, there's really no reason to think of them as separate songs. Essentially this is 50 minutes of Lounge perfection and ought to be listened to all at once.

Overall, this is an ALBUM worth getting. You can pick and choose a song or two to download if you want, but eventually you're going to want the whole thing and it sounds better in completion anyway. Also, if you don't already have it, get Kinda Kinky. Up till now I have always considered it my all-time favorite Lounge album.. after a few listens of Mondo Beyondo I'm starting to wonder if it isn't going to be bumped down to 2nd place.

Longtime fan of his albums. Fun hybrid of breaks and lounge music. Will always pickup his music. Very inventive and unique.

I'm torn between this one and "All Systems Are Go Go" for which is my favorite Ursula 1000, but they're both great.

Unfortunately that's the state of affairs with most current pop music. Took me forever to find Ursula1000 as it did with other uniquely creative sounding music such as Koop, StereoLab and several others.

Not much I can add to what Tate's excellent review outlined above.

Immediately bought the "Mondo Beyondo" CD as well as "Here Comes Tomorrow". Both albums have all keepers. Not a dud on them. Very upbeat, uniquely melodic with a quirky hipster ambience reminiscent of '60's go-go dancer venues but with way better audio dynamics. It's big beat dance music for sure but without the repetitive electronica drum machine junk despite "The Fly" which at least isn't boring. All songs sound like musicians are playing them and if sampling was employed it sounds seamless and tastefully arranged.

My favorites are "Tropicadelica", "The Stinger" and "Red Hot Mama". It's just fun sounding music all around.
