5.0 out of 5 stars Money In Crisis, August 9, 2010
Despite the best intentions of the government to manipulate the money supply and interest rates to achieve steady real economic growth, low unemployment, and low or zero inflation, the US economy has suffered repeated bouts of inflation and recession.

The general public wants sustained real economic growth, reduced inflation, and low unemployment rates. But there has been no consensus among economists, monetary authorities, or politicians on how to proceed. In seeking out a new consensus, Money In Crisis analyzes the effects of monetary changes on the real economy, relative prices, and capital formation; examines the record of Federal Reserve monetary policy from 1319 to the present; and proposes bold new directions for effective reform, including free-market banking, gold and other commodity reserve currencies, and constitutional limits on fiscal and monetary policy.
