Book Description

November 6, 2002
This book instructs the common person in everyday life on how to make a living – and for some, to make a fortune --- from the Internet adult industry. Anonymously and ethically.

When telecommunications and Internet dot coms started failing as dot bombs in the year 2000, ordinary people continued to make a fortune quietly working at home on the Internet. One of the biggest secrets about the Internet that continues to go unpublished even today is that thousands of people, if not more, have and continue to earn a lucrative living --- with some making substantial fortunes --- working in anonymity in the privacy of their own homes and conducting these businesses in an ethical manner.

It is a big secret, but moreover, it is a "dirty" big secret. This book highlights some of those success stories among these everyday folk who have managed to secure their future.

Porn has been the vanguard to mainstreamize technological innovation for public consumption in recent media and telecommunications history. Such technologies have included video, 800/900 numbers, cable, world wide web, video streaming, BBS telephone lines, teleconferencing, computer animation/video graphics/graphics rendering, online financial payment systems, ecommerce. For the most part however, most of the technologies have failed to include the everyday person who have little resources to capitalize. However, that changed when porn met the Internet and world wide web.

Because of the nature of the Internet and world wide web, it has been entirely possible for ordinary people with modest means and modest investment dollars to launch a business with adult web sites since the mid-1990’s until even today. The amount of investment required to start can be as low as less than $100 and be in the several hundred dollar range, without extending into the thousand dollar range --- all modest figures within the realm of possibility for most people.

Moreover, the technical knowledge is within the realm of attainability for ordinary, non-programming professionals. All that is required are casual skills with an HTML editor or generator, cheap graphics software or freeware and a web hosting account. Most people are adept enough with a word processor on their personal computers, and if those skills have not already been attained, most people can be familiar enough with these software to be proficient to create adult web sites fairly quickly.

This book is a practical guide on steps necessary to start and operate a successful adult web site business from home. It contains over 270 pages of detailed instructions on a money-making system that the author has proven to work from personal experience and from his network of fellow webmasters.

3.0 out of 5 stars Contains Some Good Info But Amateurish, May 31, 2003

This review is from: How to Make Money with Internet Adult Web Sites, Ethically and Anonymously (Plastic Comb)
This could actually be a good book if it had been edited and produced by professionals. Instead, it has convoluted writing,...crude cartoons that pass for illustrations and plastic spiral binding that seems to have come from the corner print shop. It does, however, contain a good amount of hard information. The author should seek a real publisher and relaunch this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars You can find better information using google!, March 28, 2005
This review is from: How to Make Money with Internet Adult Web Sites, Ethically and Anonymously (Plastic Comb)
It's great information, just outdated. The adult web site game has changed alot since 2002. If you want better newer and free information you might want to try doing a google search on adult webmaster newbie. Or you can check out www.MakeMoneyWithAdultWebsites.info (highly reccomended) or cozyacademy.com (free adult webmaster school). The book itself contains many typos and grammar errors.

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: How to Make Money with Internet Adult Web Sites, Ethically and Anonymously (Plastic Comb)
It's true that this book is less than professional in structure, but the info is really good. Some of the topics; like hosting, search engine optimization, basic small business methods, etc, are good even if you're not starting an adult business. This book answered all my questions! It explains the three main ways to make money from adult websites; AVS, Free Sites, and Paysites. I found out that what I had in mind would be way too expensive, which I figured would be the case. However, now I know how to build up my business first by buying content from vendors, and building the business over time. I had gone to many Adult Webmaster sites which had good detailed info, but not the basics. This book breaks down the essential ideas of the adult website business. (Someone really needs to fix the spelling and grammer though! Real binding would be nice too! I would buy it again!)
