This review is from: The Money Mask (Collector's Edition) 2 CD set (Audio CD)
If you are into 80's powerf metal, you have to buy a copy of this. It is so great to see this reissued, and with a ton of bonus tracks makes it even sweeter.
I have been around since the days when I purchased the very first four song demo by this band (1987 when they were called Second Chance). Then there was a three song demo that was even hotter. In 1987, I attended Cornerstone Festival and spent most of the week there hanging out with Second Chance guitarist Robby Lee, as well as meeting some of the musicians of another band (Taker) that later became members of Armageddon. What a great time. Anyway, 1989 saw the issue of their first CD "The Money Mask" on Talkingtown Records with a name change to Armageddon. What an amazing release. Now, 2007 sees the reissue of this long out of print CD, with an whole second disc of bonus tracks. Disc one contain the entire original release, remastered of course. An added bonus to this disc is the last track, which was originally their first major appearance, being on the East Coast Metal compilation. Disc two includes six demo/rough mix versions of songs that later appeared on the CD (Lookin' Out for You, We're Outa Here, More Than Conquerors, Nightlight, Money Mask, Ship of Changes). Less polished, raw, and more aggressive, you get to hear how these gems got their start. Then there are two rehearsal tracks which are instrumental, and give a cool look at their early conception (More than Conquerors, We're Outa Here). The last five tracks are all from the original Second Chance demos (Money Mask, Nightlight, Get In Line, In Your Face, Blazing Wasteland). Missing rom the demo line up is "Prepare the Way"om demo #1 (which is a super smoking hot speed fest, and a great loss not being here). however, the band is working on a new CD and are considering re-recording this amazing track for a future release (let's hope so...or at least as a bonus track). Also missing is "The Jugde" from demo #2, but it does apear as a regula track on the official D, so is at least represented (though having the demo version on CD would have been sweet). So aside from the two missing demo tracks, this 2-disc package is almost a complete set of all things Second Chance/Armageddon. A great release nonetheless. These reissues are printed in limited quantities, so don't wait too long to grab a copy. Watch the bands myspace page (armageddonva) for news on the new studio work they have planned.

haven't seen this one in a long time,
This review is from: The Money Mask (Audio CD)
I came across this when it was on cassette. I have never seen this on CD before. I don't remember the whole thing, just one song, (liberation from) the blazing wasteland. It's good trash/heavy metal sound. If I wanted it I would purchase it.
