The truth about tooth & gum decay and the dental profession, August 5, 2005
This review is from: Money by the Mouthful (Paperback)
I read this book in 1980 after my wife was told she needed thousands of dollars of dental surgery by our family dentist. My wife was 24 years old at the time! We both read Dr. Nara's books, followed a simple protocol and while she totally reversed her poor oral health by natural cleaning and healing, we saved a LOT of cash as well. Today, at 49 years old, I enjoy a FULL set of healthy teeth and gums, while my peers have gone through root canals, extractions, planing and spending a lot for it all. Nara knows his stuff! And even though this book was written nearly 30 years ago, it remains as valid in practice now as it did then. If you have gum problems or decaying teeth, you NEED to read this book and Nara's 'How to Become Dentally Self Sufficient.' Tom Cornwell OraMedia.com

People don't get it, July 5, 2009
This review is from: Money by the Mouthful (Paperback)
What Dr. Nara is trying to tell us is HOW dentists are trained and what they do to you when they get you into the chair. The reviews are from people that are totally indoctrinated into the great marketing campaign that the ADA has been spewing for years....visit your dentist every 6 months. Why? Do you visit your medical doctor every six months? No you do not. His expose of the money making procedures they practice is spot on. Yes, it's about the acidity of your mouth, and yes it's about flossing and brushing....but it's much more. How many people go to the dentist and get probed with a sharp metal spike? The dentist breaks through your dentine and there is a new cavity and a future monetary visit in the making. There is a reason he says that for those who visit their dentist every six months have less teeth in old age than those that never go. It's a wake up call. It's not a how to book. But the indoctrination is strong. No, not all dentists are out to pay for their huge student loans, and no some dentists are not out to make big bucks to support their lavish lifestyles, but I would be willing to bet that more often than not you are told that you will need a root canal within a five year visit, no matter what your teeth are like......and you'll get 5 different diagnoses from five different dentists, and all of them cost big, huge bucks!!

Dr. Robert Nara, December 25, 2011
This review is from: Money by the Mouthful (Paperback)
This is an amazing book, an eye opener and I want to support Dr. Nara's efforts because it's so imporatnt to know the truth in order to have freedom of choice. I am loving all his informations, not all that surprising though as most of us have experienced the nightmare of THE DRILL AND THE BILL!!! and even if it was a while ago it sounds so updated! The truth is always so liberating and always comes to the one who searches, so is up to us to get it or to stay in ignorance and blame the dentists. Since when is that we handled our powers to doctors and dentists and became these poor stuck "victims", hello!! No way we can't get by with this, not now not ever because we are all responsible for ourselves. It could not have come to me in a better time! We are all capable of taking reponsabilities for our own well beeing and to me this isn't only about revealing the dentists and the industries behavior but is also to give a wake up call to those who want of course. I give 5 stars with joy and encourage those who stand up for their believes and do not compromise their real liberty! Bless you dr. Nara! Very inspiring indeed. Licia Hanshaw
