5.0 out of 5 stars DBrown Crown Compilation, October 27, 2006
By
EJ (Phila, Pa USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Money in My Pocket: The Definitive Collection (Audio CD)
If you are a serious fan of The Crown Prince of Reggae, you probably cherish at least three Dennis Brown songs as your favorites, and so, you find it challenging to discover a compilation that has it all. "Money in My Pocket, The Definitive Collection," a double cd set produced by Trojan, should come close to your ideal, with a superb collection of 45 songs. Throw this on for your Dennis Brown marathon and reminisce with these treasured classics. This compilation includes Silhouettes, Black Magic Woman, Cassandra, Wolves and Leopards, Whip Them Jah Jah, Here I Come Again, Ain't That Loving You, The Prophet Rides Again, Promised Land...should I go on? The continunity and selection does not disappoint. Dennis Brown composed and recorded tirelessly, and this compilation highlights many of his greatest recordings. For those who are unfamiliar with the Crown Prince, this is a solid and comprehensive introduction. "Money in My Pocket" is sure to put Honey in Your Heart.
