So happy with this coin bank.
What an excellent way to teach money management! Four slots empty out of four feet. Different stickers for the categories. Love this!!!

The purple pig may not look so purple in the pictures - but it IS purple, so don't hesitate to order!
My 5 and 10 year olds both have these pigs (purple and silver) - and they love them! Very educational - and cute! For right now at their ages, I just have them use "invest" for $ that we periodically go deposit/invest in their savings accounts. Works great. :)

I bought this for my daughter and my neice who are both 10. It's a great way for kids to visualize how to plan financially and use money wisely.

I bought this bank so I can teach my kids to save for now and the future as well as give to charities. They are really getting into it and don't mind the donate part at all. I wish someone had taught me to save when I was younger.

These piggy banks are great for introducing kids to the concept of budgeting. I love that this makes them think about where they are putting their money each time it passes through their hands. BUT, it is plastic, the little nobs/plugs on the bottom are not very well designed and sometimes fall open. Also the front compartment (in the head of the pig) is curved so that when you turn the pig upside down change will fall out of the slot.

I bought this for my daughter when she was about 4 or 5 and she really didn't "get it". I think it's better for older children. This ($16.99) is def, a good price though, pretty sure I paid more when I ordered it directly from their website.

Good for learning, but not very durable in little hands,

This piggy bank is a great way to teach kids about how to save their money. However, in my opinion, it's aimed at an age group that also want to use it as a toy (think Hamm in Toy Story). My son wanted to play with his piggy bank like Andy played with Hamm. This bank is not durable enough for that. It needs to be kept up on the shelf. Ours has split in two and the discs on the bottom of the feet that hold in the money are plastic and aren't meant to be messed with and wear down easily. If your kids just want to save money, this is great. If they want a toy, get them something a little better quality.

We have 2 of these for our boys. We have had them for 2 years. I love the concepts it teaches them. We give them their allowance and help them decide how much has to go into each slot(80% spend, 10% save, 5% invest, 5% donate). It's never too early to teach them about saving for a rainy day. My 5 yr old needs help to put the covers on the feet back on, but my 9 yo can do it on his own. My only drawback is that it is hard to get the bills out once you put them in(but maybe that teaches them not to be so impulsive with their spending too:)

I love this bank. It is definitely not a toy. But it is a fun and useful tool to teach my child how to manage his money at an early age.

I bought this for my 4 year old and she loves it. It's been a great way to teach her about the importance of a dollar. Each time she gets money, we put it in her "money bank" as she calls it. I explain to her each time what the four chambers are for and then let her decide where to put her money. LOL, she likes the donate one the best.
